Buy out option not being taken up.
Reckon he's been an expensive flop.Good.
I rate him and I think he could be an important player for Hibs next season and beyond.
I think he’s talented but I don’t think Gray believes he’s capable of playing in ScotlandGood.

Would like to see us at least try a 433 or 4231 in some of our friendlies. Front 3 of Klidge Elding and Boyle might be interesting. Other combinations are available.Am I right in thinking him and Suto both played as wingers at their previous clubs?
That formation change many are after could be on the horizon...
Oooooh! Beeeeet-cheeeee!Loaned out because he doesn’t fit Gray’s style of play. Being a striker he’s obviously a luxury.
My sentiments too - I think we (and our Head Coach) need to give the guy a chance.I liked him, a couple of goals in the games he started, never given a long enough run for me
Even though SDG team has scored the most goals than any other Hibs managers team since we came back into the top flight?Loaned out because he doesn’t fit Gray’s style of play. Being a striker he’s obviously a luxury.
Not exactly something to crow about that. Just means we’ve been even worse in the pastEven though SDG team has scored the most goals than any other Hibs managers team since we came back into the top flight?
I was also thinking of that goal v Livingston. He scored I think 4 goals last season in the seven starts he was given.
One of those goals should have been a candidate for goal of the season...his goal at Easter Road against Livingston.
Fantastic piece of skill with his back to goal, skill, awareness, and a superb finish from a tight angle.
He also showed he was good in the air for his height, and very quick.
If you are just going to pump high balls forward and expect him to run about daft and be able to produce some magic from very little, then I would suggest even Maradona at his peak would struggle to produce anything worthwhile from that tactic.
Klidje needs to be played either in a wide role, or played just off a big, physical front man.
I think he is a talented lad who will do well for us next season if he is given a proper chance and we play to his strengths.
Hibs don't just sign players on somebody telling them that there is a lad available in some exotic country who is worth a look.
A massive amount of research and use of analytics is completed before a player turns up at East Mains.
He will have been watched many times over in different scenarios.
Mackay explained all of this in great detail at the AGM and it was an eye opener.
Gray and MacKay also said they expected Klidge back in the summer and that he had a part to play next season.
If things don't work out for Klidge it will almost certainly be because of his inability to settle due to the culture change of playing and living in Scotland.
Many young foreign players struggle to settle here.
Different language, different culture, not knowing anyone..it can't be easy for young lads coming over here in such a situation.
I'm confident we have a player there...if it doesn't work out though then so be it.
However he is here for the next two years anyway, so we have to try to get as much as we can out of him.
I'm far from convinced he'll be with us long. It was obvious DG doesn't rate him.Reckon he's been an expensive flop.
Move him on.
Folk mention "built for the Scottish" and i immediately think of Elijah Just at Motherwell. He's built like an anorexic pencil ffs.
Boyle ain't exactly "built for the Scottish game"
There's no such thing.
Mindset and application are more important.
Agreed. Look at Devlin over the road. There's no such thing.

In this modern age though..he is too small.Aye... The "progressive" modern mindset. If there's an exception to a general rule, bin the rule.
"David Speedie was 5'6" and out jumped 6-footers!" Aye, he did.
"Bobby Collins was 5'3" and the most feared player in England!" Aye, maybe he was.
"Wee Russell Latapy..."
It's not so much a question of build as ability to handle the niggling physicality, pace and aerial balls... and better built players are generally better at coping with that.
However, if Bruce Lee had played football as a #10, I doubt many old-style #5s would've enjoyed playing against him.
Ah that old myth. Whataloadashite. In this modern age though..he is too small.
Wasn’t a certain Gordon Strachan deemed “too wee” many years ago? Ability is what counts.Ah that old myth. Whataloadashite.
I remember one of Falkirk’s youth coaches telling a collection of local teams and coaches he would never have a small GK. My team’s GK aged about 10 sitting next to me listening. The wee-est GK in our league and probably the best GK in the league.
Falkirk’s coaches were complete fuds that day.
Oh the GK grew up to be 6’2”.

Maradonna wouldnae cope with the physicality in Scotland thoughSeriously held Maradona and Messi back tae...
Short and sweet.I thoroughly approve of the turn this thread has taken.
