Of course its only a matter of time.Tbh Hibs shouldn't be a club where a player learns to be a manager.
Imho it's only a matter of time before he goes .
In what way mate?Hes also cost the club alot of money.
Is that not the point thoughIt too late sacking a manager at the end of the transfer window , whoever comes in will have the same bunch of huddles to work with, unless they can get a better tune out of them than Gray can
Far more potential for a good manager is one reason… unless you think ’Well have the finances and infrastructure we haveWhy would Askou want to leave M’well for Hibs?
Not a chance that would happenI'd keep Gray on the staff if he'd stay.
Let me ask you why you think Askou would not leave Motherwell for Hibs. If we could speak to Askou maybe he could answer any questions we care to ask---------------------Fuck it! This is too confusingWhy would Askou want to leave M’well for Hibs?
Take it he gets the credit for making a lot of money from Europe this season too then? Almost 60,000 at the 3 home games for startersHes also cost the club alot of money.
No, I don’t think they have the finances, but right now he has a team playing good football. Why not see how far he can take them?Far more potential for a good manager is one reason… unless you think ’Well have the finances and infrastructure we have![]()
I don’t think he would leave M’well at the moment for Hibs. His team are playing good football. Why not stay at least until the end of the season?Let me ask you why you think Askou would not leave Motherwell for Hibs. If we could speak to Askou maybe he could answer any questions we care to ask---------------------Fuck it! This is too confusing
The new manager...maybe we've got our wires crosse hereI want a new manager and understand the wish to clear out the backroom staff, I would as well. I just think there is a place for Gray if he's wanted and wants to stay.
Explain our run in last year and excellent performance early in `Europe. Not a trick question, I genuinely want your opinion.Gray should have been away after Russel Martins Rangers team (who couldn't buy a win) beat us 2-0 in the league cup when Gray absolutely shat the bed. Out of both cup comps without even scoring a goal. Horrendous.
Today was a fuckin joke. Talk about absolutely collapsing. Gray hasn't a clue what he's doing, he and those clowns alongside him need to go now.
Luck and confidence that brings momentum but I don't believe for a minute Gray masterminded that run last season. If he did then why are we so shite now then? We played 30 minutes of good football away to Legia. If the Serbs keep 11 men on the park in both legs we get scudded as they were better than us. The Danes underestimated us making it look like we did well against them where in reality if we played them tomorrow they'd easily take double figures off us.Explain our run in last year and excellent performance early in `Europe. Not a trick question, I genuinely want your opinion.
I am dumfounded at the change since Europe. I was in Warsaw and Herning (pre booked trip with wife I missed Belgrade). The fight, spirit, no little skill was what we all want from Hibs. Its gone. Why?
I am really surprised you describing the players like this when you were full of praise, as most of us were, earlier in the season.Shan squad of players bar one or two.
Virtually every game v Rantic, European exitI'm sticking with Gray....my god, I love The Bounce but sometimes I just have to not log in for a few days. Look at the overall stats. Actually pull back and look at the stats and not just the last two matches.
I've never used the term "accepting mediocrity" so commonly used on Hibs forums. Never really fully understood it but by fuck I've got it now!If Hibs come in 3rd last year and then even 5th this year...yeah, it' f@cking crap but it still matches the best they've done since all the way back to their 74/75 back to back seasons where they finished 2nd and then 3rd the following season. If you want a comparative season to now you have to go all the way back to 95/96 when we finished 3rd and then 5th the next year...30 years ago. My god, I hate to say this but if you expect better than what we're doing right now then maybe you need to support a different club because frankly, Hibs with regards to consistency have been absolute f@cking garbage for years. Maybe it's not the manager...maybe it's the clubs structure and funding capabilities as a whole. 30+ years of inconsistent garbage is not a managers fault, it's bigger than that from the top down. Love it or hate it...Hibs are what they are.
If it wasn't copyrighted by another club, I'd expect someone on here to post, "We are the people!"
The absolute state of this thread.
The delusion and sense of entitlement are staggering.
I lasted 11 months back in what's now the first "Fourth World" country in The West's social engineering experiment.
I'm out of here.

says it all really, especially the first paragraph . But he also needs to look at the fact his system / formation isn’t working and needs changingIf I was David I'd be having open and frank discussions with the senior players and asking if they still want to play for him?? I'd then ask them to discuss it with the rest of the group and get back to him.
From what I've just witnessed over the last two games ,it would appear to show they are possibly losing faith in him.
We all know players can have a major say how long managers last due to their performances on the pitch.
I'm not seeing some players 'busting a gut' at the moment. The intensity in which we are moving the ball seems slow and ponderous . This just allows teams to close off the options which inevitably leads to turnover balls and a loss of momentum.
You can tell the falkirk players were playing for the mgr yesterday. You could say the same last week for the dunfermline team. Motherwell seem to be up for it too with the way they press as a unit.
We seem to have too many players who's confidence is evidently lacking at the moment.
Is this squarely at Davids door? I honestly don't know! I'm not making excuses but his hands would appear to be tied when it comes to bringing players in at the moment. This leads me to suspect finances may not be in a good place?
We have a weaker squad from last season imo and David will know the areas that have needed strengthened for quite some time.
He gets to the End of the season for me . He deserves that right to try and change the current slump due to the way in which he turned it around last season. He will know if results and performances continue in a similar vain then it will be over for him.
The 1st half against hearts is probably the best ive seen us play this season. It showed me that there's a good team there when they decide to turn up. I really hope Gray can rekindle that spark of passion and intensity to our play.
I have a feeling we are at a crossroads as club as I suspect many of the current squad won't be here next season . This uncertainty in some players could also be a contributing factor in our recent performances?
I hope Mallky is looking for a stand in for Milligan if he is out for 8 weeks, would be suicide not to.It’s not but no one said a word when were 18 unbeaten last season.
It’s been a shite week but we were 5 unbeaten in the league before today and that was with players away at Afcon and injuries.
If we make top 6 (4th or 5th preferably for Europe) then historically DG will have done better than most in the last 25 years.
Just don’t see the point in punting a manager now when 4th is the highest achievable this season anyway.
Helpful if Malky gets us a RB and striker this week.
So about 8 out of 40 then. By the way we lost 2 games out of 6 in Europe in 90 minutesVirtually every game v Rantic, European exit![]()
4 weeks ago Hibs battered those Jambo dogs for 70 mins and everyone was buzzing, What’s changed since then?
We were a Sallinger shin pad away from a disaster. If that goes in we then go on to lose the game because we would have shat it.And we tried really hard to throw that away with mindless substitutions. 5 mins longer and it would have been a draw.
I seen a stat last night that I couldn't believe. We have not beaten Rangers at home in the Premiership since 2006. Incredible.Virtually every game v Rantic, European exit![]()
I demand we sign John McGinn to cover...I hope Mallky is looking for a stand in for Milligan if he is out for 8 weeks, would be suicide not to.
Ifs and Buts mate, we equally coulda been 4 or 5 nowt up after an hour. And we tried really hard to throw that away with mindless substitutions. 5 mins longer and it would have been a draw.
FFS so we're using a 1 goal derby win as a stick to beat the manager withAnd we tried really hard to throw that away with mindless substitutions. 5 mins longer and it would have been a draw.
But it didn't. We were a legia Warsaw player sclaffing a shot away from making group stage European football. Or a ridiculous penalty given against rocky from making group stage football. We were a Sallinger shin pad away from a disaster. If that goes in we then go on to lose the game because we would have shat it.
So we should copy the savilles now and buy replacements every time we get an injury. And what about when mulligan is back ?I hope Mallky is looking for a stand in for Milligan if he is out for 8 weeks, would be suicide not to.
No but we're not accepting everything in the garden is rosy cos we beat HeartsFFS so we're using a 1 goal derby win as a stick to beat the manager with
