Derk's last chance

TQM saying elsewhere that there is even worse than what he has posted and that other players have overheard criticism of Deeks by club management.

Does all of this explain our absolute shocking recent form? Mogga losing a bit of the ER Dressing Room?:hmmm :dunno: :sad

Well if that is true, whoever is treating him like that should be sacked. Even if it is Mogga.:sad

Bit far.
He will have reasons if the stories are true. 2 sides to every story and that. Mowbray will be here next season, I cant see Deek sticking about much longer.

Suppose it was a bit far. The worst thing about this is that Deek absolutely loves this club, and is allegedly getting treated like shite.:(

But why is he getting treated this way. For me if he is indeed getting treated harshly then it must be down to something he has done wrong. Tony is not the kind of man who i feel would hold a grudge unfairly against someone.

As far as I can see, Deek is up to the job. What else could he be doing wrong?

It feels like a war. As with any other war the first casualty is the truth.:sad

IMO the only thing that matters is success on the park. We need to win games and we have more chance of winning a game with certain players than we do with others.

Hello smurf, how's you?? I am sure you will be interested in what I think so here goes.

If DR signs at ER Superb, if he doesnt then that is his choice, all this TM does this and DR does that produces nowt and only causes dis harmony among the fans. We all know that DR could \ will earn more dosh else where than ER, I am totally pissed of reading the he has signed \ hasnt signed and being fed "tit bits" by a few ego's who class them selfs as being in the know.

At last, a bit of sense from you..

At the end of the day smurf, we will all support Hibernian until our days come to an end with or without Derek Riordan, Tony Mowbrae or Rod Petrie

Absolutely. The reason why we shouldn't let transient visitors take the piss out of us the supporters.

Have you not being reading Riordan threads on hibs.net. DR wont eb resigning and there's a whole lot of other stuff going on behind the scenes with an unsetteled changing room, apparently.

I think they have been reading the threads and they have made their own minds up.

Seems reasonable enough to me. Free thinking is to be encouraged...

Let me start with saying that I am posting because sadly I believe the euphoria about Riordan re-signing is completely and utterly misplaced.

Given what I am about to say, I cannot see how, despite his love for Hibs that, Derek Riordan will re-sign at ER.

Just thought I'd let you know the latest with regards to Riordan’s ‘management’ ..

1. Tickets for the Semi

Some members of his family had booked their tickets through the player, only to discover this week that they actually have none – Hibs told Derek to tell the family that as he isn't part of the squad he's getting no tickets.

2. Training

Friday - He goes to training today, only to be sent on his own to run around Arthur’s Seat. He doesn't need to be training with the team given he's not part of the squad, was the reason given to him. Saturday will be the same – Arthur’s Seat on his own. Although there are other players training there with the squad who aren't in the squad for the Hampden game.

Saturday – U-turn .. he's now told to train with the others to make up for those not fit for the semi.

3. Travel to the Semi

Then he's told that he does not have to travel with the team - and can travel with the rest of the families* on their coach – he decides to travel with the team. The player subsequently hears that one of the management was hoping he wouldn’t travel with the team ...

* This despite the fact none of his family are allowed on it or not part of the official party as such.

4. Travel from the Semi

Riordan wanted to spend the night in Glasgow with his girlfriend - he has been denied this, as the club is insisting he goes back to Edinburgh with them after the game, although officially he's nothing to do with them for ticket arrangements or wasn’t needed to travel with the team to the game !

5. Fined for an ‘alleged’ assault

There have also been a serious of petty fines applied - with no parity with others in the squad, for timekeeping. Including a week’s wages because some woman phoned to say DR had tried to assault her boyfriend .. no evidence, pure fabrication but the player is fined.

So I’d be staggered if following this ‘man-management’ if the player re-signs.

If he leaves then IMO its little wonder giving this treatment; and those ready to have a go at the player should consider how they’d react to this scenario if it was them.

Personally, I cannot see why he’d want to stay after being ridiculed and singled out for separate ticketing/training/travel/ arrangements.

IF he does sign, then it says EVERYTHING any of us need to know about his love for Hibs, and his desire to continue ‘living the dream’. It is certainly not about financial gain .. greater riches lie elsewhere - like the £10K offered by Cardiff, or the phenomenal wages GOC is seeing in Russia, or indeed with the OF.

I re-iterate my previous comments on this matter – he doesn’t want to leave .. It seems however he is being left with little alternative.

I sincerely hope my info is WRONG, and I am eating humble pie and celebrating Riordan re-signing with the Hibs soon .. somehow I doubt that will ever happen.

Everything that The Quiet Man says was suggested to me this weekend by someone close to the 'club'. Indeed, some of it word perfect. :( I would suggest there is absolutely NO chance Derek will re- sign for Hibs, although I still suspect him leaving is more the club's preference than Derek's.:sad

Most clubs look to do Everything for their top player.

Could you imagine Arsenal treating Henry in such a way? Feck they are doing Everything to persuade him to stay as we appear to be doing Everything to boot Derek Riordan out of the door..

I note that the thread has now been withdrawn from .net as it was requested that it be withdrawn..:hmmm :hmmm :hmmm
