Just got beat 2-0 away from home by a team from Kazakhstan,

Shaktar Karagundy or something... Wouldn't have fancied that trip...

Going from beating Barcelona to out in the qualifiers perhaps? :dunno:
 
They were cack mate, struggling to get through now imo as that Kazak team can defend like!

I can hear it in the media now. This result will reflect badly on Scottish football. Fuckin pish it does.

The rest of Scottish football is shite......and it`s been made shite because of those greedy, stinkin` parasites and their even greedier, cheating bigger sisters that died a few months ago.

Celtcs performances in Europe have absolutely no relevance to Scottish football. They represent only Celtc.

I hope they get a complete tanking at Darkheid anaw. Fuck them.

I never knew it was on, flicking through and found it at 91 minutes, couldn't believe it. Couldn't stop laughing...
 
Watched the first half....Celtic looked like they would win easily early on but then the lost bad goal and as always against Celtic if you get the first goal against them you have a chance of beating them. A 2-0 defeat away from home in Europe is a bad result no matter how Lennon tries to dress it up. Celtic really needed to get an away goal. They will have to score early at Parkhead to have a chance of getting through.

pretty sure I heard the commentary guy saying that the result was an embarrassment to Sellik. Wrong - obviously not a good result for them, but who knows anything about footy from that country, and we all know what an embarrassing European result is. Its not getting beat 2 - 0 away from home.

and yup the excuses about it being not their fault but that of every other team and of the league will be flowing from soapy park and their media whores.

I had to do a double take when I saw that Celtc were 11/10 away from home tonight - surely not?!

Celtc and away victories in Europe are as rare as hens teeth (remember not that long ago they went 16ish games away without a win?)

I laid them so had the benefit of the draw as well - an easy 70 :rascal: :approve:

100% correct. Scotland is nothing more than a geographical guarantee of entry to the Champions' League for them.
 
Looking at the stats according to sky, that other team had just 29% possession, and 65% pass completion rate.

Makes you wonder why we're not winning more games :worthy

I think it was a team of Kazaks from the Western isles, going by then name of Shaktar Parahandy.

The Kazaks want to sacrifice a sheep before the game. Not to be outdone 10,000 Celtic supporters will gather outside the main stand before the game, and willingly sacrifice a bar of soap.

How shocking was that decison to give offside against SK, they guy that headered it into the box was miles onside, and the replay showed it and not a word from the pundit clown....Brown is a dirty bassa by the way

Now linesaman clearly flags for a free kick to SK in a dangerous place just to the left of the box, ref doesnt see it, and again pundits ignore it....

That was a good goal by Celtic though, good play by Samaras and a cracking strike.. Was always coming... Hope SK get a new lease of life this half... There's no better night for them to step up to... Yet.

Although they deserved to win the game, they were very lucky at the same time, a goal in injury time at the end of each half, a goal from a shot that was going miles wide but landed at the feet of Samaras, who by the way is Spl decent standard, no more, can be decent and fuckin honking in the same minute...SK had a shot cleared of the line with Foster nowhere, and a minute later they hit the bar with Foster nowhere again...
With the money ceptc have they should never be in such a sticky situation against a Kazakhstan side......

Come on now Hattie. Celtc going on to scoop 10 million or whatever from the Champions League is surely good for Scottish football. :coffee:

I was quite pleased Celtc qualified tonight.

It raises the profile of the Scottish game, gives the coefficient a wee boost and Hibs will get around 150,000(last year 120,000)from UEFA TV pool money along with the rest of the SPL clubs.

Champions League Group games have become increasingly dull over the last few years and Celtc and their excellent home record and kamikaze away form will make it semi interesting.

Happy to be in a minority of one so it seems.
