Not against standing in principal.Just that now that I'm about to turn 60 it feals more painful than when I was 8.
I have read this on here on and off for years. I sit in the west stand lower, quite close to the famous five. When the young team moved to FF Upper, we could barely hear them most games. Now that are back in the East they come over LOUD and clear? I am at a loss why we should have the singing section behind that goal.
Think John Blackly has a street named after him in his hometown of Falkirk.
And Great King Street in the New Town, named in honour of Pat Stanton.Of course there is Lawrie Reilly Place between Easter Road Stadium and Sainsbury's.
I can't for the life of me work out what your blethering about doc? How do you go about dictating "your opinion" to you? I've given a personal opinion on why and where safe standing should be brought back at ER. I thought this was a forum, not a kiss each others backside love in. Or are you annoyed your included in my sitting down brigade remark. If you are disabled I truly apologise. If not, ffs grow up. I would rather stand. You'd rather sit. Yoopy fuckin do!Interesting post.
Only spoiled by telling me my opinion.
I’ve done all the standing on the terraces stuff, for a year or two.
I’m perfectly happy to be seated in the FF Upper, and content not to dictate to others what their opinion is.
"Standing at games provides a far better atmosphere and the "rather sit" brigade can't deny that."I can't for the life of me work out what your blethering about doc? My last game at that stadium. Thought I'd leave on a (very) happy note. Would never go back there either.View attachment 7357
Franck Sauzée scoring against Hearts on 19 December 1999. Hibs won the final derby of the millennium 0-3.
Shrink will remember the top one.
I've seen that 1902 photo a few times and always wonder whether it is genuine or a modern photoshop job?
I really wish we would launch a hoops away/3rd top. It's our heritage.Mon the hoops!
Me too. It would surely feature in any Hibs books published prior to the invention of photo editing softwareI've seen that 1902 photo a few times and always wonder whether it is genuine or a modern photoshop job?
Although the photo in post 56 is fake.Me too. It would surely feature in any Hibs books published prior to the invention of photo editing software![]()
