Whisky

My understanding of single malts is that beyond 25 years, the flavour of the cask starts to overwhelm the flavour of the spirit, so it might not be that pleasant to drink. Just a gimmick for someone with too much money to buy as a trophy or an investment.
Currently in NW Florida. Have just survived hurricane Isaias and will be heading to Georgia and South Carolina next week. Will keep my eyes peeled for good bourbon to bring home.

I've told you before to let me know when you are away and i'd 'look after' your place...

Imagine not putting your address on here when on holiday so, erm folks could make sure his gaff is ok 🤷‍♂️
Exactly Stu. There would be nae burglars if we took turns sitting in Sanchos and protecting his whisky.

I recently attended a slap up five course dinner with matching whiskies at the Scotch Malt Whisky Society on Queen Street.. It was bloody brilliant.

Can I tell you what the whiskies were?

No.

But I can tell you that they only serve cask-strength whisky. And that they don't name the distillery - although the do supply heavy hints.

Anyway, what was my point? Er, just that if you ever get invited to such an event - go.

Cheers
