I guess with digital technology nowadays the projectionist doesn't have to change reelsThe last film I went to se at the cinema was Oppenheimer which was 3 hours long and it felt like it.
It was a really good well made film, but I thought it was never going to end.
I remember about 40 years ago going to see Ghandi when it came out and there was an interval during it. Whatever happened to intervals during films ?
Or the Wee film on before the big picture with usherettes selling ice creams and chocolate ices during the intervalMind when films used to have a break half way through
Last one I can think of seeing at the cinema with a break was Cry Freedom which was only 2 hours 37 minutes long, it says here on wikipedia
Or turning up any time you wanted, even if the film was half way through then you watched it to the end, waited for it to start again, then left when it reached the point where you came in.
