Using social media campaigns to raise money for charity

A book I read and as soon as I recall its title I'll let you know what it was.

I have been nominated twice to do the ice bucket challenge. The latest one by my 65 year old uncle. I am going to do it. Considering some of the shite I see on social media sites I think it is a good idea to raise awareness of charities and illness. If you don't want to take part that is fine but is it such a hardship to let those who do it have some fun and raise some money?
I give a monthly donation to St Columbas. Any idea that brings some extra cash to needy charities that don't have to go cap in hand to the national lottery is good enough for me. The one for cancer research I think it was where women were posting selfies without make up got me a bit I must admit. Then I realised that it was just my own personal feelings that upset me, not some girl who was doing a lovely thing. Same with Movember, no my scene but a great cause. That's what I reckon anyway....

If this means you are going to try and catch a bullet between your teeth, as opposed to pouring water over your head then that sounds a much better challenge.
:approve:

Remember and arrange for someone to post the video up here after you've done it.

I mentioned this lot and will be dropping a tenner through one of their shops.

I'll stick it up on YouTube later if I remember how and link it.

I'm watching the second half now.

Totally believe the cat protection thing. Most people leave money in their will to their kids or partner. You ever met an old childless single woman who never had a cat?

Added to that the fact that the internet may as well be called Catbook.

Well, that and the porn.

I also believe the cat protection thing.According to my old accountant and Hibs Legend Alan Gordon, their account with this lot was by far and away the best client they had.

Quite so.

Apparently cat porn is freely available these days.
(Insert pussy joke here.)

Seriously, it's beyond a joke.

Little girl swears while doing the ice bucket challenge | Mail Online

Video of a three year old doing this gets 40,000 views...because of her foul language. :Embarassed:

After her Granny's 33 year old partner put it on the internet and gives the story to the red tops, Granny says the wee one must have heard the bad language when "out in town"...where's that Pinocchio smiley?

My brother thought that was funny made me cringe the wee one swearing like that. Obviously not heard 'in town' she knew the context it was used in.
