I was swithering on this one. I've seen them a few times back in the day (Nimrod tour '98 was one of my first gigs actually), and I've not been a massive fan of their output post American Idiot, but the 30th anniversary run through of Dookie they are doing just now was appealing.

I ended up patching it in the end but I'm kind of regretting it now as they have always been great live.

Second time of seeing Green Day live and a band that get better every time!! They put on a terrific show. Just a shame it's in the weej every time! Took the little one along for pay back for her dragging me to Taylor swift and she's fully converted now yay

Nice one. The best £50 you can spend for a two hour show IMO - absolutely brilliant!
Shortly to be gig free until BIS 30th Anniversary and Man Machine in September.

Brilliant! I thought I had seen that too but couldn't remember. Might've been some drinks involved.
 
TRNSMT next Saturday.
Then weekend camping Rewind Scone Scotland next again Friday.

Was at that last night. Love The Garage for a venue. He was unreal and loved the crowd surfing at the end!! Missed all The Meffs which I was gutted about. One thing aside from the gig fecking hell Glasgow is a nightmare to get out from so many damn road closures!
 
I’ve got a spare ticket for this at Ingliston on Saturday if anyone fancies?

Was in Belfast when Covid struck.... can't say I enjoyed either.
Belfast seemed just too Hunnish for me. Much preferred Dublin.
 
Saw Queen as a support band in the 70s-Seven Seas of Rye era
Went to loads of concerts in The Empire most weeks
Four pints in The Half Way House-a fish supper -concert ticket and taxi in the wee small hours back to West Lothian all for less than a fiver
Home late and school a few hours later

I've been across a few times to custom square to see SLF and whoever was backing them up. Its a brilliant weekend. I've always found the locals really friendly, never a hint of any nonsense. Try and get in a visit to Crumlin Rd Prison, its brilliant but avoid the Titanic museum, unless you're mad into the Titanic its a bit boring. My only complaint with Belfast (other than the Titanic museum) would be, its a bit pricey for drink.
 
Don't know too much about the itinerary.I think we are going to some cemetary or other.I've been told not to wear anything too obviously Hibs related or Republican,apart from that...

Went there in the early 90s when I worked for Royal Mail and it was very Hunnish. All the RM workers I met and had pints with were all The Rangers supporters. I don't think they have a Greem Party over there either! :grinning-smiley-045:
Had a week's holiday in Dublin a good few years later and had a great time, Mrs Wishbone always wanted to go back there again.

I guess it depends where you go in Belfast.
I attended an N.I. Hibs supporters do with many other Scottish Hibees in the Workers Party ( formally Official IRA) club on the Lower Falls in the presence of guests Pat Stanton and Jackie McNamara Snr.
No many Huns in attendance!
Next gig the splendid Blue Rose Code Nov 1st.
Michael Head and the Red Elastic Band Nov 3rd.
A Flamengo gig and Porkpie in December.
Variety the spice of life.

I recall being in Belfast for Hibs v Cliftonville......or am I making that up?
