Tv series

Love/Hate is up there with the Sopranos and Gomorrah in my opinion.

A lot of the storylines in Love/Hate were based on true incidents.

You will enjoy watching it eegie.

And another one. Best documentary series ever

Not sure anything comes close. Reading Anthony Beevors book on stalingrad just now, complete lunacy on both sides

And another one. Best documentary series ever

And by coincidence here’s the new version coming out soon…

I've been catching up with Barry recently. I've enjoyed seasons 1-3, just got 4 to go.

I'd heard good things about it but the dark comedy/crime hybrid put me off as I thought I'd had my fill of that sort of thing (Dexter, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul...), but it's really good.

Basic premise - ex-marine turned hitman Barry gets fed up of his life of crime and after stumbling into an acting class on a job in LA decides he wants to become an actor. Inevitably he can't escape his past and shenanigans ensue as he tries to live a double life.

Bill Hader is great in the lead role, but Henry "the fonz" Winkler steals every scene he is in as his pompous acting tutor.

Started watching Tour of Duty again. I thought it was a well decent watch back in the day.

Used to love watching that with my Dad back in the early 90s

Watched “Something Very Bad is Going to Happen” on Netflix as I’d seen some very good reviews of it.

Found it pretty disappointing and not that scary bar the first couple of episodes and a few jump scares. Whole thing seemed long and drawn out too. And the characters’ behaviour was daft/irrational which always annoys me!

I stumbled upon Orphan Black and had to shotgun the last couple of series as it was leaving Netflix. Tatiana Maslany played all of the 5 main characters and also the 12 other clones who drop in and out of the show.

Binge watched Under Salt Marsh over three nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lead role played by Timothy Spall’s son Rafe.

Binged Young Sherlock. Not bad, although the actor playing the title role was miscast I think. His uncle in real life played Sherlock's father in the programme.

Weirdly I identified most with Moriarty rather than the hero - yet to become a bad man in this series.

'Weirdly'? :gigglle:

Silent actors even when asked a question. Maybe it's just the tv shows I'm watching but it seems to be more common nowadays. Meant to enhance tension I suppose but it's just fucking annoying.
