Tv series

They’re walking a knife edge. So far there is nothing that is completely supernatural - just highly improbable otherwise, like it’s technically possible to come across an orange on an ice field, just not very likely. At all.

How they resolve it will make this a worthwhile outing or a pile of shite. There’s always the ‘Stephen King problem’ where revealing the boogey man suddenly makes everything ridiculous. But he, and those like him, at least commit to a supernatural element. This could go wrong both ways.

Tbh - and to save you the time, don’t bother pointing out the flaws, I know it’s a failing on my part - I hate anything that isn’t realistic, from ‘serious’ magical realism to fantasy hokum. Or at least could be realistically explained, whatever the required stretch. In fact I actively like that kind of stuff, because the world is mysterious, it’s just not magical.

If this goes sci-fi , I’m out.

Until the collapse though, I still like it.
Well @Sancho Panza @Hibee Kev , anyone else, have you watched the last episode ?

I have the latest one on my firestick planner.
Probably watch it tonight or the morns morning.

Its probably been mentioned somewhere in the 47 pages but we just watched( big binge) Slow Horses.
Excellent portrayal of Jackson Lamb by Oldman.
Having read the first 3 books, the TV series is quite close to those books.( series3 differs slightly), I'm looking forward to series 4/5/6.
Did the same.
Oldman is fantastic in the role, and other main characters also excellent.
Hadn’t read the books, or heard of the series until I (probably) read a recommendation on here.
More series coming?

Great!

I read somewhere they've finished series 4 and are working on no.5 with 6 starting production next year.
4 is due to be shown later this year.

Second series is ace, and isn’t “tied off” so series 3 is coming 🙂
I've seen 3 .
Apple TV, Doc.
Free trial for a week.
There is another way to see it on the firestick, but it involves doing downloads of certain things which I dont begin to understand.
My laddie does all that stuff for us.

.
Plan to watch the second series of kin at some point. Am I going mad, but was the first series shown on STV a few years back?
Cannae mind if it was on cooncil telly. I watched it and the 2nd one on the fire stick.

Just seen this.....

KIN will never return for a third season as its stars are all out of contract, we can reveal.

TV sources said it’s a “disaster” for RTE after the gangland drama entered the top five most watched shows on the BBC iPlayer this week, alongside The Apprentice and EastEnders.

Aye, miscommunication there!
I’ve seen series 3 of Slow Horses, on stick …. Very good too.

The comment about an upcoming series 3 was for Kin, but disappointingly @EH17 Jimmy has just destroyed my hopes to see it.
😕

Found someone to agree with you.
Well done.

If you coughed up a few quid to keep the Bounce going, you could edit posts!

Just started watching this thing G'WED on itv x.

Described as a mixture of the Inbetweeners and Derry Girls.....

Comedy about working class Liverpudlian teenagers, tackling big issues like grief, sex, diversity and class differences.

First episode was pure Inbetweeners but the second episode was a bit more chucklesome.

Finished it, was OK. Definitely didn't deliver on the promise of the first episode though. Without doing big spoilers I found the ending a wee bit implausible!
Thing everybody is caught up so is interested so in my view, a damp squib. Started very promisingly, so much so it probably carried me through on optimism for most of its shortish run. It definitely started to wander and the denouement was, well, ho hum.

Ends up reminding me of my complaint about some music ‘all production and no tunes’. This was in the end a fabulous sense of place and eerie atmosphere around not much of a plot.

Think that's right. I loved the setting and atmosphere so enjoyed it in that sense. Only 6 episodes so never felt it outstayed its welcome. Just a bit of a meh ending.

Fancy that. Episode 2 of G'wed is a brilliant piss take of that dei nonsense.

Most numerous. G'wed is on itv x

Well i can highly recommend it based on the first episode.

But there was Nae need to do that to the horse 🙄
