Tv series

Are they all connected by highways? I've always had this image of Hollywood being like crossing the road from Beverly Hills. Leith to Lochend type travel.

Never realised they were all separate cities.
🤣 Mostly they butt up against each other so you could be in West Hollywood on Santa Monica Blvd and cross the street at Doheny going west and be in Beverly Hills, keep going for a few miles and then you get to Los Angeles, keep going west and you eventually get to Santa Monica and then the ocean. Route 66. A bit like going from Davidsons Mains onto Ferry Road through pilton and onto coburg street arrive at Tuechters landing.

Go on YouTube and look for episodes of Cheers with the laughter track removed. Then you'll see just how unfunny it was.
Only watched it for 10 mins tday but thought it was quite funny, not faulty towers, dads army, only fools and horses level mind you . All good ENGLISH comedy 👍

Just started watching Your Friends and Neighbours. Not sure about it yet but I like Jon Hamm so will stick with it.

Started a wee mini series called Dope Thief the first episode a has been so so.

Dope Thief. It's ok if you want a bit background while you read.

Nowt to shout about though.

Watching series one of Westworld again. Didn't really try too hard to understand it all last time and consequently gave up during series two. Giving it another go in full concentration mode and enjoying it.

It's based on a massacre that happened back in the day with the Mormons. But apparently it's a one of series.

No sure if you've seen this but I quite enjoyed it. A drama series about the making of The Godfather and all the problems they had making it.......

The Offer

The series follows the development and production of Francis Ford Coppola's landmark gangster film The Godfather (1972) for Paramount Pictures.

Too much violence on tv, cinema, youtube, etc. No wonder we see 1 in 5 teachers getting assaulted as one example. Only going to get worse 😢

Yep they kick the balls out of what are decent first couple of episodes.

The Wire was fantastic.

But the last series the plotlines went a bit pony with it being newspapers and serial killers.

I finished the new series of Black Mirror last night. A decent crop of episodes, Eulogy being the highlight for me.

If I had any criticism, I would say the show is now at a point where the concepts are becoming a bit more obvious and the twists are becoming a little more predictable, so the episodes that are more reliant on these Black Mirror-isms struggle to have the impact they might have earlier in the shows run. All of them are still worth a watch though.

Dad's Army must be the least funny TV series to have ever been made. That and Last of the summer wine.

I started watching Banshee but got fed up with it after a while.

Did anyone watch all of the telly series Prison Break? Started off ok.

But how many times can one geezer get jailed?

I need to get watching some of these as with the wife not here yet, there's only so much of the romantic-action genre I can take! Mobland and This city is Ours are the first 2 I wanna try

Thanks mate. I actually watched a couple of episodes of that after I watched Kin but fell away. I might give it another go
You should stick with it. A lot of the incidents in Love/Hate are based on crimes that actually happened.

Ireland's gangland shit is heavy duty. The Kinahan/Hutch feud took 18 lives. So far.

If you like crime things then check out the iPlayer documentary series about the Kinahans.
