If there is one thing that matches the amount of shite Trump talks, it's the amount of shite talked about him. This is a bit of a bizarre article that does not substantiate it's title and seems to confuse making money for the US or having others contribute as well as the US, with enriching himself personally.

He is certainly not above that BTW with his crypto larks etc but I don't think money paid for US visas is going into his pocket. And nor these fees.

Its going to take a lot of money to rebuild Gaza and I expect this is designed to weed out unserious voices who want to gob off but not put their hands in their pocket . Europe, for example.

Besides, how could anything with Tony Blair among the leadership team be corrupt :coffee1:

It's pretty impossible for anyone to negotiate or indeed have dealings with a mindset like this!

He's overplaying his hand with the madman approach (if that is what it is). He may get what he wants but markets can't operate under these conditions and that will impact him on the economy which is where his supporters will judge him first

The Greenland thing is a farce and an outrage from top to bottom. Europe must get it's shit together.
 
If Europe is intent on decline the UK should throw ourselves in with Greenland as a BOGOF. Not sure anyone would want to touch us with a shitty stick but we might as well try it. Because if, after this, Europe doesnt get a grip, then the game is up.

It will be Russia or Turkey next. Perhaps both at once if NATO goes pop.

I think our best hope is that events over the pond changes direction. I think there's some court ruling next week on whether his tariffs are legal. However, within Trumps' cabinet there's must be nervousness at his hugely erratic behaviour. We are obviously not at that stage yet but at what point would you need to reach for complete madman behaviour to force action from within?

The CIA may ensure he has an accident if he pushes it too far. They're still the Democrats' agency with a thin layer of Trump loyalists on the top floor.

But before we get to any of that, Vance must see his future ambitions going up in smoke. The left hate him, the far right hate him, and regular folk are going wtf. It's not a winning ticket.

MAGA voted for an end to wars and fixing the US. Many would no doubt be happy to leave Europe to it, but this is not that. The goosesteppers and soy boys alike will be raging over threats to their heroes in Tehran meanwhile, while MAGA want nothing to do with middle Eastern adventures.

Quite how Vance salvages this as a vehicle for his own political future, feck knows. So yeah perhaps a Palace coup will come. But that could easily turn into a circular firing squad so it may very well also not come.

Besides, I don't think Trump cooked this up, I think it comes from people smarter than him with a geopolitical view. Your Bannons and the like. And they may not care about markets which they kinda despise.

I don't think he has, just made vague politically motivated allusions. But you're right that if it is the case it would be indefensible. It would even exceed EU countries funding Russia's war effort throughout, via oil and gas purchases.

And guess which western country is in le lead there!

Mind, Europe has been reducing the reliance on Russian gas etc from the start of their invasion. It wasnae a case of just stopping, such was the reliance (which offcourse some fok ignore when they chat about NATO "expansion" and "agression").

From my earlier post, I believe a french news channel reported it; Ukraine & French intelligence fed US intelligence made up strategic info, which was acted on by Russian intelligence. Hope its not true.

When are these national leaders (ours especially) gonna realise that he is a bully and the more they appease him he just takes more.
He needs told to fuck off or remove all American personnel and equipment from Europe as he is no ally. He’s a bigger fuckin threat than Russia.

Why doesn’t Canada come to an agreement with Denmark/Greenland to have it become a Canadian protectorate or something? The island is just off the Canadian coast a lot nearer than the US. NATO wins and the Spacehopper’s heid explodes

Denmark is already in NATO and Canada is weak militarily ,so that's not really a change.

Then you would have seen Andrew Pierce and Stephen Dixon both bang on with their obsession with small boats and how Trump is tackling immigration while " Starmer" who they both hate with a vengeance was not. Michelle Dewbury also had on a woman ranting like a lunatic about how wonderful Trump is while agreeing with her. ...Normal presenters in.the UK just present the news. Getting there Kenny, his message sent on Sunday to Jonas Gahr Store, Norway’s leader, in which he claimed that one reason he is pushing for the United States to acquire Greenland is that he didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize.
I suspect even some of his Cabinet ministers were squirming at that one from him.

Had a Google and the Canary are somewhat amusingly adopting the clothes of British patriotism to criticise Ben Leo. He tbf does seem to he defending Trump to an extent, suggesting tariffs are in retaliation for Canada cosying up to China.

He also notes the irony of British complaints when we sold Chagos against the wishes of its people and to the benefit of China and detriment of the US from a security pov.

The latter is an interesting point actually. If self determination is the key, as I for one believe, Starmer is not that much different from Trump in this regard, buying and selling people's homeland from under them.

Britain didn't sell the Chagos Islands they transfered sovereignty to Mauritius then leased the military important bit of Deigo Garcia back on a 99 year lease. Diego Garcia is the island where the native Chagos islanders were booted off by the British in the 1960s and promised the right of return which was never granted....thats why they are pissed off now
 
Trumpets behavior passed the point of no return months ago but the world somehow hopes it will magically stop. We are in very dangerous territory just appeasing him and that never ends well as history will show.
