Too many Democrats involved is the obvious answer but again they’re now wanting them released.
I’m sure there will be some files they can’t release because of legal reasons. And I’m equally sure that they will be the juicy ones.
 
Plenty videos with claims of Trump having sex with a 13 year old because she looked like his daughter who was also 13 at the time. Old videos of him talking about how he would date his daughter if she wasn't his daughter. So much online that Jimmy Saville springs to mind. Saville survived because he was protected and others were scared to accuse him.... now America appears to be having a Savile moment which should have seen the President stand down by now with umpteen others. Meanwhile Maga Mike says the files should be releases..but require editing first as some people could end up being smeared who had nothing to do with the sex.... yeh right Mike..would that be the republican?

I'm pretty sure both sides are involved. I'm trying to make sense of why they haven't been released and the only thing that makes sense is timing. IF I was in Trump's shoes and not on the list, I'd be holding off. That list would be getting released come election time.
 
The sane right wingers in the republican party are waking up to the reality of a post trump usa. He's as popular as a fart in a spacesuit. Like the tories with Johnson here they will put up with him while he's winning but when it's obvious he's on a losing streak they will quietly drop him. So glad when arseholes like carlson and the rest of the right wing grifters are history. It's bad when Ben shapiro sounds like the adult in the room. Was told on hols that the civil servants just get on with the job and ignore all the garbage all the loudmouths spout from either side of the divide. Guy was a very wealthy guy but seemed to have his head screwed on.

Jeezo,I didn't see that coming. Always thought she was batshit crazy but who knew she had a conscience. Better late than never. The republican party is splintering into factions.
 
To me the divide centres around Israel, and foreign intervention more broadly. There's the humanitarian component allied with the financial/American interests component. The pro Israel, Iran Hawks call that anti semitic (we've heard that accusation before). I don't know the America First crew well enough to be sure on that. 🤷‍♂️

I do genuinely think there's been a bit of a shift here. But there's also the start of post Trump positioning. Who will be the MAGA standard bearer and how much does proximity to Trump help or hinder?

America First is an old slogan but it is also the name of Fuentes' podcast. If you mean his crew....

It seems to me that it is anything but the 'sane' right wingers who are doing most of the positioning. It seems to me to be the real far right who view Trump as a race traitor / irrelevant old dud, who hate Vance because he is a race traitor also (with an Indian wife), who hate Shapiro because he is a jew and who hated Charlie Kirk for promoting dialogue.

Carlson is drifting their way.

Agreed, that doesn't mean he hasn't got some reasonable points for example on hedge fund managers to pay day loan companies. It'll be interesting to see where the America first Vs the reaganite battle for the soul of the Republicans ends up.
 
To be honest I've been so sick of the orthodox neoliberal economic view, one that's prevailed my whole adult life in US and UK, that seeing that at last being questioned on the right is refreshing and there is stuff for the left to agree with (our previous discussion on Oran Cass) in amongst the Groyper bam pottery. Having to switch lanes for nationalism to be the fight again feels that at least economically we can start digging the grave of neoliberalism and that democratic/libertarian socialism has an opportunity

This is the most brazenly corrupt government since the last one that didn't have the organs of state covering for their brazenness. I'm guessing 1800s but maybe 1700s?

Does it matter that he is factually correct - about what is happening as opposed to the parties he encourages support for?

The complacent racism of European progressivism is, on current trajectory, very much heading towards the erasure of European civilisation. More likely it is heading towards a return to the first half of c20, which is where Trump isn't helping with some of those he endorses.
