You could say that about any protest or resistance really. I thought the way she had some of them fooled at the start was great and quite different to the usual routine of storm the stage, shout a bit, unfurl banner and get dragged off. Some balls to blag the mic and suck them in and expose them for what they are to the wider world.
 
I see John Swinney is getting criticism for attending the state banquet. Is this where we are at? Utterly ridiculous criticism. Whether we like or dislike, or agree or disagree, the suggestion that any UK politician should blank any US President is at best gesture politics. Grow up FFS.

The more relevant question is what the military would actually do though!
 
I get the feeling that Trump likes to wind up the media with his statements. And they seem to fall for it every time.

A bit like that dafty Khan down in London he knows how to push buttons.

I dont think France would take to kindly to British boats turning migrant boats around back to France, it would be quite simple i'd imagine for them if Farage done that and they'd just shut down the trade through the Calais tunnel. As part of Brexit the UK decided to go it alone so as part of that we have more migrants after ending decent enough deals we can no longer have with thr EU.

If France didn't care for britain turning round boats in British waters then France could whistle, I imagine. The real problem again, is how you do that. You cant just let people drown. Some version of the Rwanda scheme seems the only viable option anyone has come up with. Its easier for Trump with a land border - people wont drown if you dont let them through the gate.

It would help if the media here just didn't constantly quote his latest nonsense from the pea brain he has. Its bad enough that the yanks have to put up with him and bannons deranged drivel, but do we have to. But yes, the media lap it up. So predictable.

Couldn’t agree more. It’s the same with this shooting of Charlie whatever his name is. It seems to be a big deal in America but why it required wall to wall uk media coverage and handwringing by the usual suspects on here is beyond me

Mmm. The totalitarian drift that has the UK in its its grip even more than the US, is now turning murderous where it has lost the power to silence through control. Id say that's pretty big news. It could easily happen here.

Not sure that is what the science tells us tbf. The massive increase is either all down to increased diagnosis/ reporting, which is very possible, or if there is an actual rise in incidence it must be environmental - because human dna has not reconfigured through evolution and en masse over the last few decades.

Environmental could be things like rising age of parents btw, not just a contaminant.

Got autism myself, with me my mum always said she was very stressed while with my brother and sister who never got autism she was more relaxed, so i always thought it had something to do with that. Both my mum and Grandad certainly had autism even though not diagnosed so always thought a chance it was also genetic for me.
