I think you give "them".too.much credit. America has lost the plot.
By voting that prick in not.once but twice they have shown the world what a bunch of low intelligence inhabitants their country is filled.with. Iran has called their bluff and Trump has collapsed like a pack of cards.Without being too dramatic, the world has changed over the last 2 months, and it's pretty much down to one man's ego.
It's also not just by coincidence that a few who backed his policies on here, and predicted what would happen if he didn't go in and kill thousands of innocents have strangely disappeared.
Unless USA get a proper statesman at the helm sharpish, then Chump will get his place in the history books, but not as he desires.

Because it’s fake. Yet another lie from the good ol’ yanks. They needed a cover story to explain away the loss of around 8-10 multi million dollar aircraft due to the Iranians kicking their arses at a failed invasion attempt to get their hands on any nuclear material and establish a bridgehead in the country ahead of a full scale desert storm 3.

I reckon the US will walk away from the Iran war now after the latest farcical "peace" talks in Pakistan.
Even Vance was against this war, it's a total mess of Trump's own making.

Is that an effort at bait to see if eegie will bite? Its a decent one! I've had a couple of goes too but hes staying strong..

I get where you're coming from and I've said similar before about the US, but its normally when I'm worked up. On reflection you shouldn't really write off such a vast number of ordinary folks. Lots of them have been sold a pup, lead down the garden path, hoodwinked, whatever you want to call it. They needed an alternative to the woke democrats and unfortunately this complete grifter jumped in and took advantage.

It's helped me understand more about how tyrants get into power - far more easily and with the support of the people than I ever imagined.
 
Exactly. Voters over there had the choice of Make America Great Again or Be Nice.

From what I can see recently the democrats have no one to bring working class voters back to the fold.

I think Vance could do well the next election especially as he has said this war is Israel's war (or words to that effect).

Trump has betrayed the voters who wanted America to avoid getting into wars and Americans coming home in body bags.

I’m not trying to bait him at all. If he chooses to disappear that’s entirely up to him. But is it a coincidence he has chosen to do so while America and Israel’s actions are so catastrophic, and to most predictable?

Americans need to take a long hard look at themselves. As I said, they voted this clown in twice FFS. He spouts so much shite at his press conferences, there should be mass protests throughout America just now. They have almost over night become the laughing stock of the world. I am amazed he( Trump) is still around. I really thoughts the grown ups would have acted while it was obvious he was out of control.

I read her columns but although she can be witty sometimes I still think she should be on one of those crap comedy panel shows where dafties get lots of exposure and it's hard to figure out why.

I've listened to a couple of podcast recommendations that's been on here but if I'm doing a bit graft I prefer The Smiths/Joy Division tunes to work away to.
