Pffft. Shite or get off the pot Moaty!

I'm feeding the albums into a pivot table I already use for work. I can do similar with this thread afterwards I suppose.

I'd imagine this one will be a bit more varied though

I don't even know what a pivot table is?(A table on a pivot I'm guessing).

Four cover versions!

I'd agree 3 of the four are better than the originals too mind you (I'm not so keen on that Disturbed one).

Aye, I used to be critical of 'covers' until I found out that a couple I thought were originals were actually cover versions. I'm a lot more open to them now.
:giggley:

The Disturbed version of Sound of Silence I think is absolutely stunning!

I reckon I'm in the minority, loads of folk seem to like it. My dad played it to me and was gobsmacked when I said I didn't.

I think it's because the original is so subtle it sounds a bit overblown in comparison to my ears. To each their own but.

In no particular order....

Video Killed The Radio Star - The Buggles
Piano Man - Billy Joel
Left To My Own Devices - Pet Shop Boys
Enjoy The Silence - Depeche Mode
Sultans of Swing - Dire Straits
Getting Away With It - Electronic
The Model - Kraftwek
Ghost Town - The Specials
Golden Brown - The Stranglers

Tough one - as with the LPs it would change tomorrow - today at about half past six its ...

Too Late by Larry Williams and Johnny Watson
Promised Land by Joe Smooth
Ali Baba by John Holt
This Charming Man by The Smiths
Strange Town by The Jam
Stereotypes by The Specials
Its Been A Long Time by Andy Ellison
Autumn Almanac by The Kinks
Money Go Round by The Style Council
Laisse Tomber Les Filles by France Gall

At least its not all white English boys with guitars this time - although it easily could be tomorrow.

Most peoples lists here are really good with the odd shite song chucked in (yup I know some will think I conform to that - or am even the opposite with this list!)

And if double A sides count as one 7" single then there would be Town Called Malice/Precious instead of Strange Town in my list ... and then there is also a strong argument for Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields and The Model/Computer Love

This will take some thinking about. As a teen I used to keep a book with my current top ten lists - bands, singles, gigs, books etc

I suppose it made up for not having any friends.
I still list mine alphabetically.
To make sure I don’t buy doublers and also I’ve no mates either.
The list kicks off numerically with the 4 Skins and ends at The Zones a few thousand later.

Strange Town would be on a list of mine and also on any Jam list! What a run of singles they had.
