Sky/BT Subscriptions

Given the season is unlikely to continue any time soon, has anyone looked into cancelling Sky/BT for a few months? I'm with Sky, and have the sports plus BT, so potential saving of about £40 p/m (ish).

Not sure if anyone has already done this or can see any reason to not? It looks like it's easy enough to restart any subscription with a simple phone call and start that day.

Interested to see what others think - no point spending cash for nowt really is there?

Sky should be re-running Spain 82 Mexico 86, old golf tournaments etc.

I'd keep my subscription if they do, if they don't, and we know how long football is off ( I predict September) then I'd cancel.

Just watch you dont have discounts, you might not get the same deal resubscribing. Also mighy hanging of till its guaranteed the season is over, hopefully we all know in the coming days.

Cheers. Yeah will have to doube check that. Should know in coming days, so thought I'd see what others were doing in the meantime.

You can guarantee when the football commences...price will rise.
Not necessarily, competition is good for us getting a decent price. There is a few platforms fighting for the business so deals will be there.

Sky always get the contract....Cause they completely fleece people to make sure.

The less people enslaved by them..the better.

Get IPTV...much better.

£65 for 18months of 8000 channels. ;

My BT in total was 65 a month

I've cancelled BT sports and I got them down to 38

Happy with that

Wee update- it took me an hour but have turned BT off and gave Sky 30 notice to cancel Sky Sports - if the fitba comes back on within that period I'll be keeping it but not holding my breath.

A nice wee £40 p/m saving [emoji818]

Cancelled both yesterday. Freeview will do me when no Football on. Got some studies to do so happy to do without much TV for 3 months and longer term may finally make the switch to IPTV and save myself a grand a year....or more.

Hope they take a bit hit as the ridiculous costs we face and the salaries of Premiership footballers are a disgrace. Something has to change like better income distribution from Sky.

Bumped our Sky Sports and Movies (which we never use) packages yesterday, saving us the fat end of 50 quid a month.

My mum tried to phone Sky today and was told she would be on hold for an hour. Nice tactic to keep folk but she's gonna cancel Direct Debit. Pricks.
