John playing a much deeper role with RB in the team though, actually think the 2 of them is a pretty good pairing, is RB keeps up his fitness.

They could have 6 or 7 goals in that first half.

I'd class his performance as "Solid". 1 wayward pass in the 90th min.

Ross Barkley should have had 4 tonight, and villa hit the bar when the lad should have scored as it was an open goal/ They really could have hit 11 tonight! Thats nae exaggeration!

Played well, holding midfielder, charged everything at the edge of the box, lotsa nippy interceptions.

Such a good player, prefer him running around, but hes adapting and growing. Brilliant

I had a great fitba weekend..... The cabbage romped home scoring 3... the Toon smashed Barnsley scoring 3.... ManUre got skelped for six.... liverpool skudded for 7 and the perverts over in gorgie spent the whole weekend sniffing their sisters knickers.

Well. VERY well. He and Barkley and Grealish look a really dangerous partnership. Villa could have easily hit double figures TBH. John's a very sensible laddie and he's developing into a really fine player. He's by far the best midfield player Scotland has produced for years. If he continues as he's going I could see him going to a really top team in a few years' time for a very big fee.

Villa I hope have a good season and I have a bit of a soft spot for them now
