Decided against paying a tenner a month for rest of my life to housing association to install a shower, and now am going to get it done myself. Wondering who has experience of this and how much is cost. Im on gas central heating and would need at least a shower curtain installed or a glass frame. What kinda prices would I be looking at for a decent job. Does anyone recommend any fitters?

You'll need to get permission from the Housing Association before you do the work - and they may have some recommended contractors that would do a decent job?

A lot of Housing Associations fit showers at no additional cost nowadays - nae luck Davy.

Their rent is prob amongst cheapest in Edinburgh. ..I just didn't fancy paying 1200 quid over ten years and then still pay. They said I'd get permission easy enough if I hand plans in

Is it a combi boiler??

If so change the taps to a mixer thermostat and get a simple pole and curtain, prob for around £200
