Anyone going?

£27/£8 and £30/£10 for decent seats. Looks like Hampden is about half full - I might swing in on my way home tomorrow night depending on traffic.

There's a double whammy here - if you buy tickets online:

A) you get charged a booking fee
B) you have to pick them up from the box office before the game

whereas, if I just rock up at 7:30 then I can buy tickets from the portakabin for zero booking fee AND the queue is shorter than the pick up.

Downside being of course, I'm going to decide at the last minute if I'm going. Plus ca change.

I’m going through for both games, always easy getting tickets outside.

There will be more at the Scotland v Georgia rugby match at Murrayfield tmrw than at Hampden.

Their prices? 15 for an adult and a quid for under 12's.

Doesn’t help no extra trains on for game at hampden so impossible to get back to Aberdeen etc after.

I’ll probably watch on Bounce TV.
Haven’t been to a Scotland away game since May 1979 and a home game around mid 80’s.

The team fail to inspire nowadays, and the Tartan Army is a bit sad in regiments.

I wish I wasn't so apathetic about the national team but I booked cinema tickets tonight without realising it clashed with the game.

Just call me Blobby Williamson.

Last Scotland game I attended was with the Bounce. Scotland -Netherlands.
Bartok and I took the 8.am train from Dundee. IIRC the bus broke down on the way back from Hampden. Bartok , myself (and Skipper) got a taxi to Waverley for the return journey. We got into Dundee at 11pm. Good day out.
I'll be pushed to watch it on TV tonight.
Changed days.

See the U21s beat San Marino last night 2 nil with Glenn Middleton getting on the scoresheet. Well done.

Win or bust already this evening I think? Every campaign always seems to include one disastrous result that completely scuppers our chances - this year it was the 3-0 pumping by Kazakhstan. Previous campaigns have included losing to Georgia (twice) and drawing at home with Lithuania ?

Scotland: Marshall; O’Donnell, Cooper, Mulgrew, Robertson; McGinn, McTominay, McGregor; Forrest, McBurnie, Fraser. Subs: McLaughlin, MacGillivray, Bates, Jack, Devlin, McLean, Snodgrass, Armstrong, Phillips, Christie, Russell, Taylor.

The Kazakhstan defeat has scuppered our chances of qualifying out of this group IMO...even if we beat Russia tonight which I don't think we will. Our only chance is winning the play-off game.

I’m liking that team. Cant argue with much expect for Charlie bloody Mulgrew. A win would get the confidence up for the playoffs ??

Manager has melded an actual team oot the usual shite. One in the eye for the "who would dae better with who we have?" mob.

A good manager can always be found.

Promising signs rather than the usual krud is what I'm witnessing. Can see us scoring another if he goes for it a bit more 2nd half. Mon Scotland

1-1 Shite defending, Clarke has the team set up to take what they had, it was coming

Having to rely on mcburnie this game and against Belgium is a scary thought

Ha! Gave that away big style. Andy Robertson mistakes/unluckys seem to cost us every time.

It was coming from the big Russian though...

Win 2nd half Scotland.

We are doing everything wrong this half. Us equals hoof. Them playing through us. No leaders. No brains.

1-2 good old cheap goal Scotland, o'Donnell

McGregor has been awful, mcburnie has done nothing and the defence is worse than the one we had with Hanley in it

Brutal stuff. Deserved goal for Russia.

Worrying thing is, this is it, the manager a lot of us wanted, there’s nobody out injured really, this is as good as it gets.

Maybe Strachan was right - it’s genetics! We’re too wee!

It's actually getting worserer!! WTF is this???

I'd rather have Strachan if I'm honest.

Our players are not good enough at this level...that's our problem.
Until that changes we will continue to struggle at international level, it doesn't matter who the manager is.

I don’t think the team on paper this evening was that bad? Lots of PL players, guys who start for Liverpool and Man United. Russia have been much better than I expected TBH.

We still have a great chance to qualify for a major tournament via the playoffs. Something you and I have seen before but a whole generation has not. Striker and central defence the main issues but still confident we can do it.

Russia are shite. Big shite players. We make everyone look World Class against us.

I put that down to fear. Lack of heart and balls. Hey, when you've been this shite for so long what more can ya do?... It's ingrained intae oor physche man. Grrrr

We have one guy who starts for Liverpool and one for Man United, and even they look sub-standard too often on the international stage. Our team is made up of decent, solid club players who fail regularly to make the step up to the international stage. Technically we are inadequate. We struggle to keep the ball, we lack pace, strength, creativity and most of all we lack a regular and reliable goalscorer. Central defence has also been a major weakness for decades now. I stick to my belief that we are simply not producing anywhere near enough international class players and until we do we will continue to toil as we have done for many years now.

The Russian team featured 10 players who play in their own country - hardly a powerhouse of world football. But they certainly looked a more cohesive unit than us. Maybe we overstate the quality of the EPL, and the English championship, for that matter.
