Probably would cost a fair whack.
I was reading about this lad at Christmas, he's one of the most valuable free agents in the country.

Valued over a million quid, precontract will involve compensation.
Sizeable at that.
 
One in and one out tonight it says. The one in is garananga but who could the out be. Klidje chaiwa or manneh most likely candidates in my eyes

Herein lies the problem.
We, the fans, judge players on what we see in 3-4 games a season.
I'm sure the scouts at Hibs will watch a player quite a number of times before saying they're a possible signing target.
Don't think it will be on journalists ratings in the Sunday papers!
 
Can’t see rangers or Celtic offering Hibs the money we want for our players these days. It’s about time

I think he has a decent range of passing and is assertive, think he is around his level at Killie. Where do you think his potential will take him to? Congreve at Dundee would be better for current impact and potential sell on value.

He's a 20 year old playing for a shite Killie team. Scores goals, creates chances. Positive players are a good thing. In a better team, with better players...

I dunno where it will take him. It's up to him and the chances offered to him. I think Kieron Bowie is over rated and look where he's wound up.
It's a signing for where they could get to. Potential is everything when you're 25 or below.
I'd take a chance on Watson, 100 games under his belt, time to take the next step.

I'd go for Congreve too, winger though, different position.
But isn't he on loan?
Fatah too that you mentioned. Loan player from France.

No as easy to get to the table as a free agent.

Congreve is on loan from Swansea.
And he would cost a bit I think.

Valuations are a guide, and online valuations aren't the one. Congreve is 22 and played most of his games at Bromley. Where he was nowhere near as successful as he has been this season.
Hence the valuation. End of this season that will shoot up. This is his potential breakout.

Watson has been a first team player since he was 17. Scottish under 21 captain. Yada yada.
The million plus valuation is a real valuation.

They've turned down half a million plus extras this window because they know they'll get that same money at the end of the season. That value stands.

I didn't mean to get into a big chat about players who won't be Hibs players. But if we can convince him to sign we'll make money.

I understand what valuations are , I would have Congreve over Watson every time.
 
We picked up a couple of cracking Scottish players, one on pre contract.

David Watson at Killie is almost certainly out of our reach but one you'd take in a heartbeat.

Jason Kerr is an evergreen rumour, depending on how we look at centre half come the summer. (We might be more inclined to look at left-footers though?)

Dykes obviously, though he may well prefer to stay on an English wage given he seems to have settled in well at Charlton

Didn't realise till I saw your post and checked Wikepedia that Dykes had only signed for Charlton till the end of this season.
Be good if we could get him on a pre-contract as you say.
Going by Malky Mackay's interview we were clearly after Ante Suto last summer and also Lyndon Dykes.
