Always thought he had a pretty decent life, travelling the then mostly unknown world, visiting and staying in some truly stunning places, all paid for by the BBC.

Whicker was great at what he did. The only person since him who has come even close is Louis Theroux.

Whicker was very observant and asked difficult questions of the people he met. Sadly missed.
