Superb. Ive never watched them live but dunno either belfast or dublin which one will be better?

got ma ticket, should be busy esp with the twins recent exposure with the Peter Kay video, should keep the interest going. Maybe the ROI supporters club will get another name check!

I was thinking of heading to Vicar Street to join up with the rest of you lot.

I'm going with my wife 12 years on that date.

Is there a reasonably priced hotel in the vicinity?? Not to shabby though!!

What's the closest Jury's?

Hi Paul, The Jury's Inn would definitely be the closest. Its a 5 minute walk from Vicar Street.

Great if you can make it down :thumbgrin :beer_1_pr :smilie_flagge16:

If I am still working out at the airport, I may come in to town for that one?

Mind and keep me informed if St Pats have any Wednesday games Mark. Its looking like I will be here until at least December!

thinkin about a wee trip across for at least one of the Procs gigs.

any info on Castelbar, Ennis or Killarney would be appreciated, would any of these be worth a visit?

saw the Proclaimers at the Wickerman Festival in south west Scotland at the weekend, on top form :applause:

Comfort Inn beside me on Smithfield Market is only 10mins walk...Just had a look at prices & its 89 euro...

they are also playing at portlaoise at the world fleadgh next sunday

yes i was there.BRILLIANT.BRILLIANT.BRILLIANT
they did about an hour an a half with a good mixture of new and old which had the crowd jumping for most of it.was there in my hibs top(naturally) and got a thumbs up from charlie at the end.
afterwards we went round to the hotel where they were staying(like a right stalker) and saw them in the bar.chatted to craig outside in the smokers area for about 10 mins and chatted to charlie inside for about half an hour and got a few photos with him as well.
the two of them are dead sound and can't wait to see them again in november.
the new single out is brilliant as well and will definatly be a big hit for them.

Yeah, it's one of their best for a while. Was a bit bizzare though. I got my copy of the cd special edition in tower records on the friday when it went on sale. The rest of the boys were gutted when we went over for the match on the saturday and it wasn't on sale in scotland. :lookaround:

Two tickets in the standing area procured, see you at Vicar Street? Pre gig drinks planned?

Managed to get two tickets this morning for the show in Ennis. Magic :banana:banana:banana

November 23 - Castlebar TF Theatre

Cannae believe it was a week ago.

The best Proclaimers gig I've been to since the George Square theatre about 20 years ago. Magic venue, very Student Unionish. Attended by about 500 folk including the 10 bams I was with. Venue staff were great, comping in the one of us without a ticket, happy to let our maddest looking one on stage with a chorus of Johnny Collins Green & White Army to welcome the lads on stage, showed great patience with our "bez" when he got on stage late in the gig. Charlie even dedicated SEAN to me and the guys. Magic!

Missed the band after the show as they popped off to bed sharish, but spent hours in the bar with the support (unkle bob) the groupies and several locals, a fair few of whom we converted to Hibbies!

We were tempted to head down to Ennis the following night, but tiredness and an invite to two parties put an end to that!

If they do Castlebar again, I'd be on the next plane.

November 24 - Ennis The Glor Theatre

myself and the good lady were at ennis last saturday and i must say it has to be the best proclaimers show i have seen.(been to about 6 now)
great venue and staff and the crowd where great.
a good few scottish had travelled over and a good amount of ex-pats like myself attended as well.
the main talking point after wards was the eejit who threw the yam scarf on stage which was quickly stampted on and kicked off stage by charlie.
i was the only one wearing my hibs shirt and got a good responce from everyone.
can't wait till they come over again
