Our Cup...

Scottish Cup draw on Sportscene tomorrow evening. Don't see why it's not today, but I guess audience figures are "a thing" these days. 10 years on from coming out of the hat for a trip to the San Starko.

Have to say, I've not been as optimistic about our chances since the 1970s. Since the gap between us, the Gunts & the Sheep and the rest of "the provincials" (©The Daily Ranger) has widened over recent years, we've been going off at 16-1 or 14-1 for cups. We're 20-1 and that looks cracking value. I'm confident we're solid enough to kick "potential banana skins" out of our path with confidence. We should despatch the "Category B" Premiership teams and we've been competitive enough v. the Bigot Brothers this year to be confident.
Annoying that the Huns may have found a decent manager and the Smellies might soon have one, but c'est la vie.

Today's Scottish Cup games are a mite disappointing. I always want to see the "yo-yo" fringe top-flight sides currently outwith the Premiership playing each other at this stage. No much that fits the bill in today's ties.

Any road, I'll be investing before the draw.
I want the lowest ranked team, at home... and a repeat of that as far as the Hampden semis.

Hibs have been very unlucky in the last two years to draw Celtic three times away from home, and the huns at Ibrox for good measure.
Really hope we get a home draw against a small lower league club.
Oh and get Rod Stewart and Stubbsy back to make the draw again !....they should do it every year.

I have a small wager on Hibs to win it, but today i shall be mostly concentrating on Peterhead v Morton.
