The National Front and United Against Fascism are planning to hold a demonstration and counter-demonstration at Waverley Station in Edinburgh between 12:45 and 14:30 on Saturday. Barry for those getting to the Falkirk game on Saturday by train (me).

The National Front demonstration coincides with the Sikh religious festival, the Mini Nagar Kirtan, taking place doon Leith on Saturday anaw.

It's probably because there's such a high Nazi contingent in the Hibee faithful. The NF will expect support and the UAF will expect us to fight them.

Meanwhile we'll be moaning about queues/tactics.

I expect the NF to park the bus and rely on the rozzers to protect their defence by dominating the midfield. UAF likely to respond with attractive, showy play, but lacking any real cutting edge. 0-0 draw.
 
They're filming a moovie there just now. More publicly I'd expect.

What about the other lot that have been highlighted on the ITN news this week, National Action. The coverage on the news included plenty film of these people with St Andrew's flags.

Went along and Tommy Shephard spoke-well I thought,also Ian Murray spoke reminding us all about Judy Cox,others spoke including representatives of the RMT,and the EIS,Donny Gluckstein spoke on behalf of the UAF,and reminded everyone that fascism grows whenever there is a space for them to do so, puting the blame firmly at the door of those who would push for cuts and austerity and using immagration as scapegoats,he also looked at the growth of the fascist movement across Europe in Hungary, Poland and elsewhere and the need to be vigilant here.
At the end of the day the count from police of the master race went to the great height of 12.The amount of anti fascists there was well over 200.I also managed to leave around 2 so did not miss the match.

you weren't far wrong there was 12 of them, but it's got to be remembered thatthe NF used to be able to mount protests in there thousands in the seventies,they had several council seats and would regularly come 3rd in elections often ahead of the Liberals.I think it is down to my efforts and thousands of others like me who were prepaired to face them on the streets that they are no longer that force today.Their Fhurer in waiting John Tyndall admitted as much in an interview.I don't go along with the credo ignore them and they will go away.The same arguments were used to Hitler and his small band of thugs in the early 30's and look how that turnned out.

Good on you Moaty, but you allude to part of the problem with these things, i.e. A fair chunk of those opposing the boneheads are commies; and very much part of the same problem, even if the lesser evil in relative terms.

Fuck the lot of them and am glad you made the game.

Video: Nazi salute marcher bundled into police van - Edinburgh Evening News

A ‘White Pride’ protester who made pro-Nazi salutes on Edinburgh’s High Street was later filmed being escorted into a police van.

An earlier video had shown the identified individual as one of two men raising their right arms in the ‘sieg-heil’ fascist salute. The man was among other so-called White Pride activists outside the Tron Kirk on the Royal Mile. The group were surrounded by anti-fascist protesters and police officers. The male, wearing a black t-shirt with an image of Rudolf Hess on the front, was later seen being led off by two officers who put him into the back of a nearby police van.It is thought that the individual is an SDL supporter from Inverness.Ten arrests were made on the day, mostly for minor offences.The White Pride demonstrators were outnumbered by anti-fascism protesters including respected lefty moathibby by around a ten to one ratio.
