I met Nichol once at an event, he seemed like an ok chap for a Hun. I think he was quite taken aback by the fact someone wanted to talk to him about Hibs but he was happy to blether for a bit about it. He told me that he and Pat often disagreed about tactics and that the atmosphere around the the place was a bit gloomy at the time. Apparently he was actually quite keen on taking the job after Pat left. Couldn't have been any worse in retrospect...

There's an absolute classic of a post on RainjursMedia, translating the Huns' statement.

The statement was :

"GRAEME MURTY has this morning been relieved of his duties as manager of Rangers.Jimmy Nicholl and Jonatan Johansson will take charge of the team for the three remaining matches of the season.
Rangers are grateful to Graeme, who did not hesitate when asked last October to become interim manager after the departure of Pedro Caixinha and then, at the turn of the year, when he was offered the role as manager until the end of the season.
Graeme has had to contend with difficult and challenging circumstances but conducted himself in a thoroughly professional manner. He will take some time to consider his options, which include returning to his role at the Rangers Academy.
Jimmy Nicholl and Jonatan Johansson have already started preparing the team for the match against Kilmarnock on Saturday and they will be in place for the two remaining fixtures, against Aberdeen and Hibernian.
The club hopes to be in a position to comment further on the managerial situation in the near future."

The translation read:

"GRAEME MURTY has this morning been relieved of his duties as manager of RangersWe threw the man under the bus as we could not find another manager but we appreciate that Jimmy and JJ will step forward and take over the reins for three pointless games for the end of the season.
Graeme will probably be thrown to the wolves and never allowed near any team in Rangers again but we are delighted to announce this move to take the heat off the board who have not had the courage to find a replacement at a suitable Primark price. Please be assured the board are working through a shortlist of under 20's coaches to take over the main squad as getting a proper manager would cost us cash we do not have at this time.
The club hopes to be in a position to bend the fans over and fuck them in the arse in the near future."

As Rangers managers go I didn't really mind him. I think he's been left out to dry tbh.

What they daft bastards don't realize is, under him it's the reason they are still in the race for second. No chance Pedro would have been in the position.
