£200K for Zemmama was worth it I think. We ended up having to pay £200,000 for Zemmama because he told the club fibs about his contract with another club in Morocco.

Would have been much better than Vela or Mallan
Maybe not Mallan, definitely Vela.
As someone else posted take out his shooting ability i don't see what else he offers us.
His range of passing is fantastic, and he is one of the few who actually looks for the ball and shows for team mates . The trouble is that too many of his team mates are hiding rather than looking for the ball.
His tackling and tracking back could be better, but I really can't understand why he gets scapegoated in a team of underperformers.
It's a pity Heckingbottom doesn't know how to play him. As you say, his tracking back and tackling leave much to be desired. His range of passing is fantastic, and he is one of the few who actually looks for the ball and shows for team mates . The trouble is that too many of his team mates are hiding rather than looking for the ball.

He’s by no means the worst, but I honestly don’t think he’d get into a half decent Hibs midfield.
Perhaps, but the thing is he isn't in a half decent midfield, yet still gets slated.
He couldn’t get a game for him at Barnsley yet he plays nearly every week for us, just proves our midfield isn’t that good except for Alan who needs better quality around him.
Was also years ago, a younger, less experienced player.
Mallan has much more to his game than his shooting/freekicks.
Our midfield is so horrifically balanced that nobody is showing much.
Scott Allan for example, has only had a handful of moments this season, you could actually list them off the top of your head. He's a FAR better footballer than we are getting to see because of the tactical failings.
If Mallan just operated as a ball player in the central third of the pitch, instead of having to play on the wing or at both ends of the pitch, we would see a far better player.
Genuinely thought Vela was supposed to be a ball winner, even that huddy is probably suffering because of the system.
I feel like every player on the park is being exposed in some way or another because of it. Midfielders dont support the defence or the attack properly because none of them naturally play the way they're being asked to.
Wingers and forwards being left to do a massive amount of the work themselves.
Paul Hanlon and Ryan Porteous were driving us forward at the weekend ffs.
They're all being hung out to dry by a man who's so arrogant that he doesn't even realise it's not working.
I'm glad we've thrown away all these late points, its sick, I know, but if we hadn't, some folk would look at the results as good enough, but the football is shocking. Absolutely shocking.
That's your opinion mate, but for me Mallan doesn't offer us much except from his shooting, he sits too far off his marker and was one that done that too many times against the other teams midfield which let them come at us and led to us conceeding goals. You are spot on though the balance is completely wrong, tactics wrong, fitness levels wrong, what a mess!!
Just seen on twitter that mulumbu - personal terms agreed and medica is happening this afternoon.
interesting
