Was a good watch, and fair play to him for doing this and trying to help young offenders

I like the guy in all honesty. We all make mistakes and he seems to have tried hard as fuck to turn his life around and help others.

He was brought up one street across from me. He was a Hun bam as a youngster but has matured into a decent sort.
 
I have no problem with players & managers speaking in their local dialect, dodgy grammar & all. They're footballers not newsreaders.

Others who are liable to give interviews or represent the club in meetings with potential sponsors etc. should do better. As I said elsewhere, Ben Kensell isn't a good speaker and I expect more from the person heading up the business side of things.

That aside, Martindale's accent grates and irritates and that coincidentally rhymes .I'm a poet and didn't know it!:coffee1:
 
Martindale is intelligent and driven.
Traits he used to achieve in his life as a criminal.
He then used those same traits to achieve in Education and Football Management.

The problem is that very few offenders he spoke to in Polmont have those traits so they can't so readily and successfully turn their lives around as Martindale did.
The intelligent and driven in our society can always achieve. Lazy dumperheids not so much.

I've known a lot of drug dealers over the years, and they wernae that intelligent, and they never got caught!!!

Still, he's done great to get where he is. Kudos for the way he's turned his life around

I think Martindale was probably further up the chain
