Man City

I'd like to see them bounced out of the prem and ineligible to reenter for 9 years (concomitant with the period in breach). See how long the blood money sticks around when QPR and Norwich are marquee fixtures

In 2126...5 point deduction.

What an absolute farce this is.

If it was so obvious they were guilty...they should have been sanctioned immediately.

Wait till the legal fallout of teams that missed out on Champions League,Cup Final appearances,European Competitions....due to obvious cheating.

Guilty of almost all the charges of financial irregularity.

Should be demoted to the lowest tier of the English League, all titles taken off them, kicked out the champions league and face a massive fine.

But we all know they will be deducted points and a fine which they will overcome easily.

A fine will be nothing to them. It has to justify the means… it was for points and trophies that’s where it has to hit them, hit them hard. Can’t remember the points Everton got done for but it must be huge compared to that

Karma for the cheating bastards. They should be wiped off the records, booted oot of the world’s richest club - aka the EPL and get banned from every major tournament for the next 100 years.

Best wishes from a Man Utd fan
In fairness...They have corrupted the entire football pyramid

Even teams from say league 2 could argue that Man City cheated them out of progression and finances in FA Cup games

who cares ?
I think we should care up to a point as it is corruption.
We had it here and didn't really deal with it in the proper manner and we know why, but it is different in as much as in the EPL there is no open, obvious favouritism regardless of what supporters may think.
Its such a damning indictment of one club and that has to be dealt with for a reasonable go at sporting integrity.
Otherwise it becomes a free for all for those willing to ignore the rules.
Plus , it may have the banks looking at the way they allow clubs to run up such huge debt.

The other side of Manchester were no angels when it came financial irregularities, then, no one dared challenge Fergie. City no longer have a Pep to avoid being challenged. You would think a deduction at least, a demotion at the most. A fine is irrelevant.

There was no ffp back then? Rules came along later I'm sure.

A fine is a waste of time they’ve got billions so that’s not going to hurt them, I doubt they’ll get relegated so I think the on suitable thing is a points deduction, personally I’d take 30 points off them this season and a similar deduction from the start of next season maybe an embargo on signing new players as well

The precedent has been set. Forrest and Everton got points deductions for much less, Southampton thrown out of the playoffs for spying etc. They need to get hammered. Total can of worms though with other EPL clubs eyeing up legal cases against City for loss of earnings due to relegations, missing out on champions league revenue and so on.

the whole of football has been corrupt for ages and it aint changing anytime soon .The richest clubs rule the roost in every league in the world and the rest make up the numbers . Man City like all the other top clubs will go without any meaningful punishment and we all know it . Football as the working mans game disappeared a long time ago and aint coming back

I suspect there are more clubs than Man City in that league who have broken financial regulations.
I see other EPL clubs are weighing up legal action.
Wonder what this could lead to ?

This would be the preferred outcome. Give me a "farmers league" with no TV coverage, no VAR, and 3pm Saturday kick-offs every time over what the the EPL has become.
The ideal scenario would be the entire league structure imploding, with SKY ultimately pulling its eye-watering amounts of cash out, so we get back to the level playing field we had years ago. It won't, though, because it would signal a huge drop in takings for SKY Sports.

I’m also sure the govt would step in in some way, you know to keep the world’s best league, the icon of football, the league from the home of football, the biggest combined league debt in world football from the biggest payments received in world football, the richest league in the world, the most expensive tickets in the world, everything that’s wrong with the game in the world…the destroyer and most self appreciating league in the world, the most ignorant and condescending league in the world….. immoral, lack of integrity, fraudulent…. The list goes on but it’s a treasure eh.
We all know how it goes, everyone must rally round and save THE worlds iconic, most important and honest (we don’t cheat, its the johnny foreigners guv) football league from the pearly gates.
Hmmmm
That kinda escalated from nowhere 🤪😂😂😂😂
Too much ranting not good on a Sunday lunch time….
Time for lunch

That the level playing field with only 2 teams other than Celtc or the huns winning the league in 60 years?
