Malkay MacKay Not At Dundee United

Here's one.

Elding took a penalty in Europe, against Gent?
Apparently Malky instructed him to grab any penalties, regardless of whatever the on field instructions were.
Gray challenged him on it after the game.

And McGrath wasn't injured at the end of Dave's time, him and Dave had fell out.

Fuckin hell.

DG never went mental at penalty miss, I can't understand why he wouldn't, based on above.

Dunno tbh.
Could be a number of reasons,
Might not have known this was the case before hand, plenty times you see players take control of kicks when it's clear it's no theirs to take. Or trying to keep his cool during the game because losing your shit does nobody any favours. Or the fact it was saved and not missed, it's a small difference but still a difference.

Could also be shite in fairness.

I don't really do gossip, and tend not to believe virtually anything I see or hear, you'll find me arguing with everyone over gossip 😅
but have no reason to not believe the lad who told me.

Sounds a bit far fetched.
No reason for McKay to do that as far as I can see, and the ramifications would be pretty obvious.

I smell :shite:

Could be to get his goals up and make him a more sellable asset.
Guess they want him front and centre to sell on down the road.

I'm open to it being shit, but the lad knows some stuff.

Not a great suprise , as it’s normal behaviour, Malkay missed the start of the second half against Celtic … too busy with his snout in the directors lounge trough

Does this now mean it was all Davies fault and we just needed the right man as the players were there to get the job done?

Thank you Malky 😂😂
SDG did a fine job of steadying the ship and brought us a few European nights so he deserves a lot of credit but Reedijk appears to be less cautious and predictable in his approach and this has clearly rubbed off on the players who look as though their shackles have been taken off. I also firmly believe that Joe Newell’s playing a very important role in turning things around as borne out by much-improved performances from Mulligan and Chaiwa.

Definitely not. The manager has got a tune out of the players but there's still been some awful recruitment hence why we only got off the bottom last night.
Compare and contrast with Aberdeen who have brought in 51 players in the last 3 seasons - I think we’re doing ok in terms of the number of signings who haven’t yet lived up to expectations.

Chaiwa still giving me the fear a bit. The amount of times he gets caught in possession in dangerous areas is criminal.

I still think they're 50/50 in recruitment. There's good and bad in there.
And I'd say being able to get a tune out of the same players would be a coaching and application issue rather than the players no being good enough.

He really enjoys that outside turn, which he got caught out with at the end of the first half, which caused us all sorts of problems for a few minutes.

I like Chaiwa, but he's not a natural pivot, he's getting better though, disciplined and sticks to the task. I think it'll come.

He was excellent in there last Sunday IMO, but as EH pointed out he gets caught in possession at least once in a game and it leads tae the opposition having a chance.

Aberdeen are paying a horrendous price for their managerial churn. Manager's who had a big say in recruitment. Different from us.
