Little things that annoy you.

The total overuse of brilliant in football commentaries. It was a brilliant pass. Thats cruyff or Zidane territory. Can we not just say it was very good. Saying brilliant all the time just devalues everything and we don't notice when something actually is brilliant.
Dave Alexander on Hibs tv used to use "wonderful" for the most basic of moves/passes 🤬

If you think back to the likes of Barry Davies he used to say a delightful move or a marvellous save which is much more descriptive than just saying brilliant or wonderful all the time. The level of commentary is so poor now. Having just watched the breeders cup horse racing and watching the nba commentators ours are amateurish in comparison. Imho of course.

Or brilliant cross, It was a good cross, but if it wasn't for the player who ran thirty yards to get in the position to score ( nor miss ), it would have been classed as a poor, overhit cross.

Great or fantastic save by the keeper when the ball was hit straight at him.

Hate when it gets dark so early. Once I'm out and about it's fine but going to play footy when its pretty chilly and dark not appealing when you are in a cosy house. Fine once I get there and move about.

Playing football is no longer an option for a few of us here.
Moving about is a bit of a victory much of the time.
THAT’S annoying.

I'm fortunate that I can still play fives in my mid 60s and appreciate how lucky I am. I'm sore after each game but fine the next day. I'm well aware I can't beat father time forever so enjoying it while I'm able though I can't do a lot of the things I used to be able to.

The tram being delayed cos some fanny has parked his white van in the way. Other colours are available.

Yon bleeping security things in shops - what’s the point of them if the staff ignore them? I watched a guy walking out of Zara yesterday with his arms full of aftershave - bleepers went off but no one batted an eyelid.

Cyclists on Princess Street. Wtf is that all about. Women had a bike with a trailer thing dragging behind it causing chaos on a packed princess street. Bus driver was not a happy bunny.Utterly bonkers.

Btw see these things, the ones that folk actually put their bairns into - how is that not an absolutely mental thing to do?!

The car industry has spent untold amounts on research, design, build etc to improve safety cos folk still easily die inside cars that crash, yet here we have Rupert carting his bairn about on the roads inside a bit of canvas netting? Do these folk just want rid of their bairns? Mental.

Aye, the slips, trips and falls Health and Safety module. Does ma heid in.
We went on a health and safety course at the auld Telford College years back.

The geezer doing the presentation had a projector type thingy. The dafty tripped over the cable he had extended over from the socket.

A healthy chortle was had by all who were there.

I had forget that I was filmed doing a health and safety video at my old work. My son then went for a part time job with them while at uni and was gobsmacked to see my training video some 20 years later. Should have charged them for image rights etc.🤣
A perfect example of a video getting the PG (Parental Guidance) rating 🤣

On the telly show 1% Club. After every question, Lee Mack says 'let's see how many got it right' then proceeds to ping thru every person who got it WRONG and shows you that total number

Is there ever a scene in any tv programme where somebody is running through the woods and DOESN'T fall? 🤬
Sometimes a bloke manages to keep his feet after a stumble but it seems EVERY female falls and injures her ankle. Mrs Wishbone and I have lighthearted bets on this as well as the horror films where someone goes outside or down into the cellar/basement - they ain't coming back!. There must be a mandatory script framework where these scenes have to be included and worked around. Also as bad is where the hero gets battered to a pulp, taking blows that would put a cage fighter into intensive care, then rallies and puts the baddie down.

Keeps the Training Department in jobs though.
Had a training course on the use of saws, lathes ,buffing machines etc.
The guy presenting the course was big on the safety gear.
He walked around the machinery with his gloves and goggles on.
The safety goggles caused much laughter with the assembled workforce as the *&*^ had a glass eye!
Of course, there had to be a smart arse.
'Wid ye nae be as weel wi a monocle'.
Cue the assembled tribe rolling around pishing themselves.
End of safety course and a written warning to the perpetrator of said quip.
Not me , i hasten to add.

One thing that will get me moaning out loud is when football commentators saying 'just about' all the time.
'just about stopped a goal there' this and 'just about' stopped the cross coming in' that.....
There is no 'just about' ANYTHING! He DID stop a goal there and the cross DID get stopped from coming in.
Just stick another tenner in the charity jar with the other 'running it up the pole to see who salutes it' and 'blue sky thinking' type of bollocks and pass it on to the homeless at Xmas.

And lay a wreath at the tombstone labelled "Only Just".

When your internet goes down and all you have to watch is shite cooncil telly 🤬

Does anybody watch that stuff anymore. Can't remember the last time I watched one. Shetland maybe but that's a while ago.
