It is in my eyes mate. Say anything to get the votes. That's not a lie.

Shock horror - a politician trying to appeal to the electorate. What exactly was 'dishonest and delusional'?His speech was well delivered maybe one of the best from any leader the past 30 years. It was well crafted. It was powerful and emotional. It was also delusional and dishonest. Completely denying the reality of the financial predicament that we are in and the abyss we are facing. He had better call the election now as this is as good as it'll get for him. And let's be honest this was an explicit on the front foot for an election looking to appeal to their base, Lib Dems and the Greens. When realities bite as they are going to all this 'Hope' spiel is going to look utterly ridiculous.
OK. The SNP said they would respect the result of the 2014 referendum. And they have. Nothing stupid like UDI. But respecting the result doesn't mean they stop campaigning for what they believe in.It is in my eyes mate. Say anything to get the votes.
Your no trying to say the politicians and the civil service respected the Brexit vote!!!!!!!!!!OK. The SNP said they would respect the result of the 2014 referendum. And they have. Nothing stupid like UDI. But respecting the result doesn't mean they stop campaigning for what they believe in.
It will never be made up,when its gone its goneI'm sure a lot of that will be made up by the 34,000 people who became millionaires last year!
We're out! So yes.Your no trying to say the politicians and the civil service respected the Brexit vote!!!!!!!!!!
Aye ok then. I hear the BBC are impartial in their coverage of things as well. We're out! So yes.
The vote was to leave. We did.Aye ok then. I hear the BBC are impartial in their coverage of things as well.

Sunny days are not my thing Archie. I prefer dreich. No need to give up - you won. Enjoy the sunny day when you are out.
It was always so, Jack. How many radicalised jihadists worming into the fabric of UK society and just biding their time, how many professional criminals coming in as they like. The security services can't put survaillance on all the "probables" that sneak through the sieve we call a border. Even if the holes were plugged now, how many are already here and "in with the bricks"?That is the old scheme as I described above.
It involved British civil servants in the countries involved vetting applications, only successful ones got to come here. Applicants were also having to get through a war zone to get to the office. The scheme was suspended.
But this is how legal immigration works. Applicants are vetted those that meet the criteria are allowed in.
The immigrants sneaking into the UK unvetted are the ones to worry about.
OK it was completely honest and transparent.Shock horror - a politician trying to appeal to the electorate. What exactly was 'dishonest and delusional'?
There's always been a churn of millionaires. Next year there will be more millionaires and more millionaires leaving. It will never be made up,when its gone its gone
So care to say where he wasn't?OK it was completely honest and transparent.
If they respected the vote civil servants and politicians would have made it work, they didntWe're out! So yes.
Well, where do we start? Disability benefits, child benefits, universal credit , unemployment benefitsIt's started with the triple lock. What would you cut?
Why those?Well, where do we start? Disability benefits, child benefits, universal credit , unemployment benefits
Why the pension?Why those?
Same shite, blame the civil servants. Civil servants will not break the Law, UK or international, even if ordered by ministers. If they respected the vote civil servants and politicians would have made it work, they didnt
He and others are not levelling with the public. There's really nothing that they can do to help with the 'cost of living' crisis. They're tinkering at the edges and events are superceding all that they do or can do as we are facing a debt crisis. Energy prices will go up around 25% in Jan. That's going to have huge consequences on food costs etc.So care to say where he wasn't?
Oh come on jack, i'm no' talking about the lad that works in the local job centre, i'm on about the mandarins at the heart of govt.Same shite, blame the civil servants. Civil servants will not break the Law, UK or international, even if ordered by ministers.
If your boss had ever said to you 'We're robbing a bank this afternoon using the company van. You're driving the van." Would you drive the van? Of course you wouldn't. It makes no difference if it's in a van or in a government office breaking the Law is breaking the Law.
Same Laws apply.Oh come on jack, i'm no' talking about the lad that works in the local job centre, i'm on about the mandarins at the heart of govt.
So what do you think hasn't been done to make it 'work'?If they respected the vote civil servants and politicians would have made it work, they didnt
OK. What do you think needs done?He and others are not levelling with the public. There's really nothing that they can do to help with the 'cost of living' crisis. The hypocrisy is off the scale. Old labour, new labour, this labour….. makes no odds.Burnham on ITV news telling Peston he's open to maybe rejoining the EU.
Another referendum on the cards?
But not for Scotland....
It's really expensive, it's paid for by current taxpayers and it's paid irrespective of other income. I'm not saying it should change in those ways, but you would have it paid to well off people whike cutting other benefits that would leave people in penury. Why the pension?
We need cuts to the expenditure and tax cuts. We need to stimulate economic growth.OK. What do you think needs done?
I don’t know. I think Jacks reply on this one has a grounding in experience. Why the pension?
Or alternatively crash the economy. We need cuts to the expenditure and tax cuts. We need to stimulate economic growth.
You could say that about child benefits, should it be paid to people who dont need it?It's really expensive, it's paid for by current taxpayers and it's paid irrespective of other income. I'm not saying it should change in those ways, but you would have it paid to well off people whike cutting other benefits that would leave people in penury.
Where do you think we're heading?Or alternatively crash the economy.
Interesting point. It is, of course, taxed for higher earners. You could say that about child benefits, should it be paid to people who dont need it?
I don't agree with wilder apocalypic assessments of the economy. But it fits with the whole 'smash it up' view of political issues these days.Where do you think we're heading?
It's proposed to retain CPI or 2.5% so they shouldn't fall in real terms. They might fall relative to rises in wages.Wages rise, NI take rises, income tax rises. Pensions get cut in real terms![]()
Of course theyll fall in real terms,It's proposed to retain CPI or 2.5% so they shouldn't fall in real terms. They might fall relative to rises in wages.
