John Fraser RIP

He was a distant relative. RIP John, a fine Hibernian. 💚
Mark, dae yi ken if he had a sister called Suzy?. I remember a pal from my primary school mate (a jambo btw) telling me John Fraser was his uncle.

Played in some very memorable games did John, over a long playing and coaching career with us.
A leader of men, and along with long time team mate,Tommy Preston,a mentor to many young players who came through the door at Hibs.
A True and Faithful Hibernian was John Fraser, and has a deserved place in our Hall of Fame.
Sincere condolences to John's family and friends,
RIP John Fraser 🙏

Edit:
John shares some memories in this Scotsman interview.
He talks of not winning the Scottish Cup and the interview is in that very year !

A guid article Mick, a very interesting interview with John who, despite being such a talented player, was always so very humble.

I remember meeting John and Tommy Preston on a Corporation bus after a Derby at Tynecastle. They autographed my copy of the Pink Paper. Different world, eh?
Funnily enough I thought of him as a right back, rather than a winger. He played along side McClelland in front of Ronnie Simpson and behind Preston, Jim Easton and John Baxter.
Happy days.
RIP.
