This is an odd one that idk how but many on the Israel side have come up with.

So there are really three separate questions:
  1. Did God promise/give a land to the Children of Israel in the Qur’anic narrative? — Yes.
  2. Does “Children of Israel” mean all Jews throughout history? — No, it is primarily a lineage/historical community designation for the people of Jacob.
  3. Does the Qur’an say that the modern State of Israel belongs to Jews because of that promise? No.
  4. Was Israel founded by religious Jews? No, they were atheistic and secular.

The jews that founded isrsel were not secular, they were,em, jewish.

Many of the people who founded Israel were ethnically/culturally Jewish but secular or non-observant in religious practice. For example, founders like David Ben-Gurion was Jewish but was not an Orthodox religious Jew. Or Theodor Herzl was also Jewish and founded modern political Zionism, but his movement was primarily a nationalist political movement, not an Orthodox religious movement.

Bit like Polanski, he’s Jewish but doesn’t observe religious elements. That’s the distinction

The Quran explicitly states that god gave the land to the Jews, there is obviously no mention of the modern state of Israel in the quran and and most of the rest doesn’t specifically come from the quran they come from theological differences amongst scholars.
And there are actually some Muslims that have mentioned it
 
I’m going to make my stance clear, don’t mistake my support for the right of the Israeli people to exist in the state of Israel as support for the Israeli govt. I happen to believe Netanyahu is a war criminal.
I also believe hamas are not interested in a 2 state solution or a peaceful solution of any kind ,they want the extermination of Israel and they’re as responsible for the horrors that are happening as the Israeli govt

Nope, and I have consistently said so, but this didn't start on October 7th. Israel has been killing Palestinians and stealing their land for years, so if you think Israel is defending itself by slaughtering innocent Palestinians, do you also think Hamas was defending Palestine by slaughtering jews on October 7th, or is only one of these things justified in your opinion?
