I think Trump knows how disastrous it would be for him to send US troops into anywhere.
Much easier to pay someone else to do it for you, and keep it at arms length.
Qatar seemed to have a positive relationship with the US and Europe so Israels actions don't seem to really fit in with strengthening that.
But Qatar seems to have strategic relationships with everybody, I suppose the opposite of Switzerland, and it might need to start choosing who it really wants to get into bed with.
Can't have foreign countries bombing your capital regardless of the targets.

I see Trump and Netanyahu are talking about a solution which the Palestinians response seems to be “new colonialism” and Israel will forcibly resist any Palestinian state.
Call me sceptical but I think this might not really be a solution.
I still remember studying this in the early 80s and it doesn’t seem things have moved forward much in the interim.

Just watched the latest Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. Recommended if you're following these horrendous events. Covers the history of Netanyahu and how so much of what has happened the past few years is purely down to him and his clinging to power to avoid jail. What a horrible bastard he is.

Then when told he might need a better reason than that, used AI to fabricate a report based on fixtures that never existed, falsified statements from the Dutch police and a pack of additional lies.
He then hid the truth from the government of the country, including the real fear that local islamists posed a threat to Jewish fans, and indeed the Maccabi team.
And this against a wider backdrop where forces across the country await their day in court for cover up of, and collusion and even participation in, the rape of tens of thousands of children - a scandal rooted in similar fears, lies and 'community relations'.
All of this and your conclusion is that the real issue here is Jewish puppet masters?

There is an extremely strong argument that they should not, and the world should live with continuing carnage across the middle east and slaughter of freedom campaigners. Im not being smart btw, its just that that is the equation. At some point though, the world would have to answer the question with a nuclear armed Iran.
But while it may be ill advised, is it a horrendous crime? The world has gone to war against bampots before. Should we leave Russia to get on with it too?

There are plenty wrong uns, but I can't think of any worse than Iran - perhaps some of the African warlords excepted, but that's very much a backyard affair.
China's treatment of the Uighurs is in the same no fucks given bucket as all persecution of Muslims that doesnt involve Jews, but China is nevertheless not on the same level for inflicting carnage or sponsoring it via proxies
You say the list is extensive but it isn't. I doubt you could give a good reason to place even a single country ahead of Iran.
I don't disagree with you on the potential for disaster but that is a separate matter. The reason the Americans are attacking iran is because they are iran with all that entails. The alternative is to leave them to it and have decades of continued slaughter and one day the risk of it going nuclear. That may well be the right choice but let's acknowledge it is the choice.

I do think a lot of the ingredients are there just now. Regime under pressure from the civil unrest, Russian support diminishing, also possibly no coincidence this has occurred bang in the middle of Ramadan when a lot of the population will be fatigued.
