Aye a good run in the champs league would’ve been good but if they get pumped out it will be good viewing and they realise they’re no really as good as they think. They will more than likely do well in europa again. Hopefully we can stay in the conference and Celtic can get their act together there too because finishing 3rd and having to play 3 qualifying games for 3rd tier European football is a lot of pish.

In what way?
I have no love for Hunco at all.
But them making the group stages would give every club in Scotland money.
Improving the coefficient would give us more chance of making money ourselves by being able to compete for longer in European competition.

The only benefit for us, is that they get less money. Which isn't an argument because they're already out of reach financially to the rest of us.
And the obvious laughs we get at their expense...

Every Scottish club doing well is more beneficial to Scottish football.
 
In other other news ... Sevco are whinging that the new league sponsor Cinch was done on the cheap but, more importantly, clashes with douglas parks car dealership.

No logos etc on view last weekend!

How c**ty do you have to be to jeopardise the sponsorship deal for the whole league for some tinpot car dealership? Hope they get leathered by Malmo in second leg and fuck the coefficient.

Coefficient my arse. In my last workplace in Livingston with honourable exceptions most were Celtic or Rangers. At about this time I would be approached knowing I was Hibs and asked, you'll be wanting bum cheeks to win in Europe. No. What about the coefficient though? My reply was always do I fuck. Why would I want them to pick up £millions to rape Scottish teams of their best players.

They do that with or without Europe I'm afraid.

I want to see us be in with a shout of reaching a group stage, the easier it is, the better.
third competition or not, if UEFA hadn't changed the rules last second, St J would've had that path.
Kinda glad they don't as it was at our expense, but thats what we should be looking for and unfortunately it will involve those 2 clubs doing something.
 
Hammered, humiliated every time their backward ugly faces appear. Teams who have spent years trying to leave and then monopolise everything in Scottish football think we should support them, no chance, have never and will never support them in Europe, ever.
 
Fwiw, I don't support them in Europe, but I do see the bigger picture and the benefits of a decent showing from all our clubs in European competition.

We need more slots, or better placed slots, otherwise we'll never grow beyond qualification defeats.
 
The only circumstance that I've ever been able to imagine wanting the Huns to win is the one where by their winning meant Hibs won something - for instance, Hibs needed Celtic to lose on the last day of the season to secure the title. However, I am comforted by the thought that this scenario is as likely as me bagging off with Scarlett Johansson, and so can safely carry on with my desire that those *&*^ lose every time they go on the pitch. Some vague prospect of Hibs' getting a slightly more favourable draw in the qualifying rounds of the Europa League or whatever doesn't cut it for me.

I'd agree with this.

Although I've not given up on Scarlett quite yet.

Because we gain pennies compared to their millions, many millions.
The co efficient is patronising shite. . There is maybe even a thought that you are better off playing a couple of lesser teams in Europe , before meeting the better teams, who we would have to beat anyway in the qualifying round.
Ive watched the arse cheeks do quite well at times in Europe over the years , and have never felt a benefit.
Plus , they both travel under the Scottish banner and they are nothing short of a disgrace , with all their religious, racist pish.

They're improving their own chances of getting straight into the champions league and making squillions. Meanwhile the rest of the pleb teams make do with scraps off the table. Resulting in the arse cheeks stretching even further away from us financially.
Fuck sevco, hope they get embarrassed in Europe and bankrupt again.

If there is a club that I wouldn`t bat an eyelid if they vanished tomorrow it would be Rangers. Despise them. I still have never forgiven the SFA for letting them back in so easily. And how they still get down on their knees in front of the Huns. Hope they go bankrupt again and this time it is truly terminal.
