How woke is too woke?

Is this woke?
Is it just the left falling off the cliff?
Victim has clearly been discounted here.
The “experts” know better the judge says!!!!
Ffs how many times have the “experts” fucked up in the name of the liberal left in exactly these scenarios?
It’s Neanderthal judges meeting liberal “experts” in fucking discarding the victims and putting the offender before justice.
I really do give up.
He was only going to get 18 months for grooming a child!
Absolutely sickening

I'm fairly certain the last time we heard about a similar course was that it was being pulled due to lack of interest. Edinburgh University I think.

"Labour has told employers not to use the words “competitive” and “ambitious” in job adverts because they are too masculine.

In new guidance from the Office for Equality and Opportunity, bosses have also been told to eschew terms “associated with male stereotypes” and use “neutral job titles” to ensure a greater gender balance among applicants.

According to evidence used to draw up the guidance, “stereotypically masculine” terms also include the words “dominant” and “independent”."

Tbf this seems consistent with wider policy which suggests Labour dont want British businesses to compete , let alone dominate markets. And as for people acting independently - opposing that is pretty mich their first principle.

Ah, Bridget Phillipson.

Still sitting on the equalities guidance, debating with the High Court that young boys should be allowed to wear dresses to school and trans people can use 'the ladies'.

She very much reminds me of the green party in Scotland in her crusade.

Well that's me well fucked then. 😬

Rather than some random post on Twitter (who needs to join twitter when you can read it from the bounce?), is there any context to this?

Shocking if true likes...

What is this? I've seen it bandied about a few times but never seen an actual list or much context.

It's hard to find anything other than froth about it with a quick Google.

This is a strange thing that be happening over on mainland Europe.....

Should a neo-Nazi be allowed to ‘identify’ as Anne Frank?

Germany is being forced to confront the lunacy of its gender self-ID laws.

Liebich’s crimes were grim enough, but it was his Princess Diaries-inspired transformation that brought him to international attention.

In 2024, he showed up in court in lipstick, a floppy beach hat and a leopard-print blouse.

He asked to be referred to not as Sven, but ‘Marla-Svenja’.

He also declared himself to be female. Since Germany explicitly allows anyone to identify how they please under the 2024 Self-Determination Act, there was little that could be done to stop him.

No, the straw that broke the camel’s back was his request in November last year to change not only his gender again – this time from female to ‘diverse’ – but also his name… to ‘Anne Frank’.

So shoplifting is officially decriminalised now? Good to know, Waitrose. Couldn't you have told me on Saturday when I had the gall to pay for my shopping when I could have just walked out instead. 🙄

Is due diligence not a thing anymore?

Get you, shopping at waitress.
😆 Not my normal go-to, I must admit, but when you need poncey ingredients like preserved lemons and samphire for a recipe, there's really only one destination.
On a side note, on the few times I've visited Waitrose, it's clientele seems quite rude in comparison to the politeness and courtesy I usually experience in Tesco and Asda. Must be the Morningside/Comely Bank sense of entitlement.

Cannae beat Scotmid where you know the staff as they are from the area.

Nowt like wee Mick taking the piss because I ordered a diet juice.

Or the till staff asking how my family is and how things are in general.

Or Fazals at the first shops. Same experience.

So Sancho now your Waitrose secret is out get into the corner with a ewwwww Waitrose is it hat on so we can throw things at you.

😤

:D

Hmmm no sure Sancho is a skirt man to be honest.

Maybe a t-shirt saying 'I Betrayed The Working Class by Not Shopping in Poundstretcher Like Virtuous Folk Do'.

It's no very catchy though I agree.

We’ve got a Scotmid in our village and the prices are ridiculous. Captive audience though.
A local ‘ahem’ Businessman and philanthropist went to the management and told them to drop their prices as many of the old folk were struggling financially. As you’d expect the store owners were happy with the status quo, so the local guy got one of those small buses, stopped outside the Scotmid, and transported folk for free to the big town down the road where there is Aldi and Lidl. Didn’t take long for Scotmid to drop their prices after a few months of that and their supermarket empty of clientele.
