How woke is too woke?

I've got mates over the pond KiG. They must get it on their social media and pass it on.

Fuckin disgraceful thing to say to the lassie though.

I've seen quite a few of these absolute rockets being exposed all over social media here and being fired and struck off left right and center. Nurses saying to carry syringes to poison ICE, others wishing pain and torture for some pregnant Republican. The absolute hate they are spewing is getting them fired and losing their nursing licenses.

@SuperTortolano

Everyone with eyes and who is willing to see knows where the hatred poisoning the body politic originates and remains centered, Along with an aversion to truth it has always been so. The evidence is all around us from history to this board to the world at large.

'The left is the party of murder' boomed Melon in unavoidably correct fashion.

However it is also historically true and being replayed before our eyes, that when regular people descend to their level, they can be just as bad, and sometimes worse being, tbh, better in a scrap. In other words, Melon (anything but a regular person but pulling their strings) is also a cnut.

Frustrating as it may be, we must not be dragged into the sewer or, truly, all will be lost.

I know it is a bit school marmish of me but while you don't stoop to their level I do feel you flirt with it

The left may be a persistent thorn in the side of free society and decency, they may have murdered and oppressed more than any other ideology (maybe more than all others combined), but we need to acknowledge that the Trunp squad is at least partially descended to meet them. If normal people do not reject the meeting of evil with evil, we are doomed.

I agree with most of your post, the hatred from the left right now is on a whole other level. I genuinely think a lot of the extremists suffer from severe mental health issues. I'm not saying the right is faultless, but I don't see the same level of hatred from the right than what's taking place on the left. I should probably retract that and say far left/right.

Sometimes it's hard to sit back and not laugh or mock the absolute absurdity of what they are saying and doing. The way many online mocked and rejoiced when Charlie Kirk was killed was just crazy. I didn't know too much about the lad, but he was a father with kids who basically enjoyed debating people's opinions. So many videos calling for people to arm themselves and go after ICE, it's crazy. And then you have to listen to these unsufferable politicians and celebrities rilllig everyone up from there million dollar mansion with security guards all over the place. You don't see them on the front lines. And then the media adding fuel to the fire. Why is an "impartial" news station using AI to change the guys image and then use that picture? Other than to drum up sympathy and make him look softer, there's no good reason.

And on the other side you have Trump, he doesn't do anyone any favors either with the way he behaves and talks.

It's hard to bite your tongue, especially when you're over here and seeing that absolute lunacy up close and personal. Even over in the other thread, you have posters questioning if the video is real or not. How do you even argue with that, especially when it's been confirmed by many news outlets and his parents.

That was just a bad situation all around, but people choose to stick there flag in the ground and won't budge. The dude didn't deserve to die in the manner, I'm sure we can all agree on that. He also didn't do himself any favors by bringing a gun and poking the bear. The counter argument, well it's his 2nd amendment. There's so many counter arguments to that as a concealed carry permit owner that I can't be arsed to go into. Number one lesson you are taught is to always de-escalate any situation and walk away if you can.

You're right though, if it gets to the point where evil meets evil, we are all fucked. And unfortunately if it keeps going that way, how long does one side continue to turn the other cheek?

Bonkers......

Why is the NHS registering babies as ‘theybies’?

Midwives should not be recording the ‘gender identity’ or ‘sexual orientation’ of newborns.

This is the brave new world that trans activists within the NHS are imposing on maternity care.

This was brought to light after a whistleblower from Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust told the Mail on Sunday that staff were left ‘shocked’ by the system following a training session. The software is thought to be in use across at least 10 NHS trusts.

Kinda hard to find words but “bonkers” is pretty apt.

Seen loads of stuff like this. These people are deranged. Got a friend in upstate New York and he has gone off the deep end with this stuff. Constantly posting stuff on FB about resisting the Nazi takeover. His mental health isn't good and this really isn't helping.

"The real question, then, is not why individual clinicians stay silent, but who is authorising these things in the first place? Which members of which NHS boards have decided that scarce public money is better spent on software that’s warped by ideology, consultancy fees for DEI experts, and ‘inclusivity’ training, rather than on hospital beds, clinical staff or safe maternity care? Who signed it off, who nodded it through, and on whose authority? And when will the UK health secretary grab the problem by its nonbinary balls?"

Pretty pertinent question posed at the end of that article.
I wonder why that isn't being asked more.

Institutional capture @Doc Shrink

The cult is all over the corridors of power. HR is usually the door they come through.

And once they have HR they can set about populating the rest of the organisation with co-religionists, while indoctrinating the workforce with their 'training'.

So that daftie at NHS Fife who was the HR bam. She is in a position to hire and fire folk and to discipline women over their views?....

  • Gender Identity/Statements: During her testimony in the case of Sandie Peggie v NHS Fife, Bumba stated regarding her own sex: “I would hazard a guess that I would be female... but no one knows what their chromosomes are, or their hormonal composition, unless you've had that tested, and I, at least, have not”.

I think one of the issues with social media is the tendency to find some random half wit on social media and imply they are somehow representative of an entire group of people. It's a tactic used all the time. You cite it as an example of hatred from the left.

You go on to say 'Trump doesn't do himself any favours...' . Trump's not some random on social media. He's driving it while enriching himself and dividing the country and the free world. This is not normal.

A word on Charlie Kirk. The shooting was grotesque. A young man shot down and kids left without a father. But did you support the heresy hunt afterwards? Is it reasonable to point to his statements that gun deaths are a price to pay for the second amendment?

Compare the aftermath of his death with the attack on Paul Pelosi. Jokes from the Trumps, Elon Musk spreading lies about it being a gay assignation gone wrong. This for an old man attacked with a hammer by a guy who wanted to kill his wife. I don't think the moral high ground is as clear as you are suggesting.

The weird thing is they do it in both directions. All the white and indeed black folk in Eastenders, for example - a fabrication of the present as their historical programmes fabricate the past.

Good news! (and when I say news, I just kinda read the article links)

That NHS system thing is clearly a nonsense, but its been a fuckup by whoever set up the software in each trust - just needs its default settings amended. Which going by the NHS response contained in the DM article, will be done. No theybies, no gender identity. Moral panic over folks :) at least for a few minutes.

Just record them all as Hibbies, job done 💚

Anyone catch question time and Konstantin Kisin Vs Douglas Alexander? A point on immigration levels since New Labour being made by Kisin, wasn't defend by Alexander instead he flipped it to call Kisin out on saying Rishi Sunak wasn't English because he was a brown Hindu in a podcast with Fraser Nelson (that's accurate despite Kisin taking to socials to claim he was misquoted). He did describe him as British from which I infer that English is ethnos while British is civic cosmopolitan. Is it woke to call this odd behaviour in 21st century England, is that a distinction anyone else recognises? Triggernonetry has 1.7 million subs....for the record this isn't an attack on KK I'm only curious about where ethnicity figures in a modern (we all know the origins) nation state. I don't see how you'd apply that today or to what benefit.....?

Not surprised Alexander flipped the question which, like many others, he prefers to avoid and probably also prefers not to contemplate.

Secondly, Rishi Sunak is not a Muslim and Alexander needs to be impressively ignorant to believe otherwise. A prominent public figure with a Hindu name and who places a low key but nevertheless repeated emphasis of his being a Hindu...it ought to be a difficult blunder to make. But who knows, maybe they all look the same to Dougie?

As for Kisin's point, he also noted that he himself was not ethnically English. He was making a self evident point about the difference between ethnicity and nationality.

As for its applicability - well its one of those questions where it would be better if it never needed asked. Alas, thanks to idiots like Alexander, it becomes relevant.

Because Kisin's wider point is that if a host society becomes so flooded with immigrants that it ceases to be a host society, then that is a problem.

In other words, the country that is England, the society that is England - that welcomes newcomers and attracted them to begin with - is a product of the history and culture of the English people. Once it is no longer that country and just another airstrip one, well things get unpredictable shall we say.

Hes spot on as well, inarguably borne out by history whatever blank slatists would prefer.

Needless to say no racism was intended against either Sunak, nor himself.

Apols I wrote Muslim when they said Hindu my error. I'll read the rest later have now edited

London stock exchange cancels corporate subscriptions to the FT as it has become a post truth 'private sector guardian'

Iirc even a staunch communist like @GORDONSMITH7 has noted the finance rags are often no bullshit as they are only interested in facts that help in the gathering of lucre.

No longer so at the FT as this insider documents. Having spent a chunk of the era she describes in the city and canary wharf, my own view is she overlooks a key part of the story: they were centres of woke that would make any public sector institution blush. It was good for business, after all. (Iirc a yougov profiling of newspaper readership had the guardian and FT closest together, which may have surprised some, but not me)

Times change though, and these lads adapt fast, perhaps unlike the aforementioned, and somewhat more conservative, institutions. That said I will be surprised if holy month isnt celebrated with the same gusto as ever this year.

I know the you g lady who just happens to deal in IT and teaches the nurses and staff at the particular NHS Trust about all the systems etc.
I happened to be having a drink with her on Friday and asked about this. Apparently its a generic form for all the hospital depts and not specifically for midwifery, although she's of the opinion the gender question shouldn't be asked at all.
The person who realised it was also on the midwifery forms, instead of going to management went straight to the papers.

I understand the need for standardised input forms.

Start fucking about with them and it takes longer to complete and leads to errors.

@paigntonhibby Glad you cleared that up Tony. When @Sancho Panza presented the clipping from The Times quoting The Mail and everyone went tonto, I read it and the last paragraph, where the NHS hospital spokesperson basically said she was talking pish, was airbrushed from their collective heids.

BIG G

I despair more that there are so many who will suggest it is indeed money well spent...
