I liked Gordon McQueen, great and dominant centre-half. Scotland at that time had some superb central defenders, especially Martin Buchan. Remember that day at Wembley '77. Think Gordon was alongside Tam Forsyth who also had a strong game that day.

Sad news.
Gordon McQueen was a fantastic centre-half, one of the best central defenders Scotland has ever produced.
He was as hard as nails, and brave as a lion. Tremendous in the air.
One of the best memories I have as a 12 year old is watching his memorable diving header goal at Wembley in 1977 on TV.
