Went to see a theatre preview of porno last night.

Entertaining way to spend an hour.

Never read the book, because some folk I knew said it wasnae as strong as Trainspotting.Might give the show a go though.Could do with a night out that dosnae involve a band or Hibs(necasserily).I really need to get up toon and get programmes.Sure I was sent stuff through the post but where I put them is another question.

I have booked a few things. Was going to see Frank Skinner but he has a home office crisis and the whole run was cancelled today.
Going to a couple of shows on Thursday, Richard Herring in the afternoon and The Tom Seals Show with guest Noddy Holder at night. Everyone my age still loves Nod.

It's a completely different book to Trainspotting but still good in it's own right, less dark and more funny bits (ridiculously so at times!) Juice Terry features in it but I have heard he's not in the stage production.

Saw Trainspotting at the Fringe a few years ago, was different! No seating and the audience kind of mingled with the cast.

It was strange seeing Noddy Holder as a little old man.
He was very funny though. The host had an easy time of it, asked Nod a question and he would run with it for 7 or 8 minutes at a time.

I’ve mentioned this before but the most bizarre thing I’ve ever seen at the Fringe was ‘Ben Dover’ recounting his experiences in the U.K. porn industry.

I’d estimate 3/4 of the audience walked out once the subject matter became apparent - not sure what they thought they’d bought tickets for 😂

Craig Levein is in a show at the festival (Make your own jokes up).

It's a special live episode of his successful BBC podcast "Sacked in the Morning"

Looking forward to it. A win on Sunday would help.

Was at a one man play about Les Dawson.
John Culshaw was Dawson
It was good.
It is getting a full run at Edinburgh after which he will tour it round the UK ending up in Lytham St Anne's where Dawson lived.

Going to be in Edinburgh at the end of the month have tickets to see Randy feltface good solid humour from an Ozzie puppet

Not shows but anyone visiting Edinburgh should be aware the population doubles, as does the number of cars on the roads.

Now I hate to say say it but the new half are all over the fuckin place. Add to that the number of mini cab drivers who have seemingly handed over their cars to their mates from London, Birmingham and Bradford and its a heady mix of Russian Roulette with only one blank 🙄 I say seemingly because they are even worse than normal by a long shot! A squiggler for septic keepers wondering where the fuck they're going next 🤔

You wouldn't be safe in a tank!

My bus has broken down, need a pee, happy fucking days 🙃

The piano has been drinking

Another late summer observation.

Folk in shorts and girls in strappy tops. If you've been dressed like that all summer in record sun hours and temperatures how TF come you're still pure brilliant white on the Dulux colour chart?

Does my een in!

Was at some time Hibbie Andrew Maxwell's show tonight.
Standard fare from an experienced stand up.
Good but nothing you have not seen before if you have watched a lot of stand up.

Last Sunday would take some beating for me. Genius jazz pianist Herbie Hancock at the Playhouse was glorious. None of his hits like Watermelon Man. More of a Chick Corea Return to Forever jazz fusion vibe who I saw in 1972. In 1978 Herbbie and Chick did a tour together, two guys, two pianos that's all. Footage if that in Frankfurt is on YouTube. Immense.
Back at the Playhouse, Herbie for the encore left the piano and played a handheld keyboard on Chameleon.
Still a funkster at 81 years of age. Bravo Mr Hancock!

Anyone been to see anything at the festival?
I went to the Omni Centre yesterday and watched a screening, well more a 25 min trailer for the documentary about Johanna Gomez the Venezuelan boxer.

The boxer Gary Young has taken her under his wing and is trying to get her to move to Edinburgh.

It's called Little Warrior

For anybody interested there is a Stand Comedy benefit for the Binworkers at the Freemason's Hall in George St tomorrow night,9 0'clock.Tickets were £20 pounds waged £5 striking or unemployed.
