FC Midtjylland Away Thread

Exactly. If there was fair distribution of wealth up here and fair and even playing field off the pitch Scottish football would be in a far healthier state, but those two horrible bastards in Glasgow will never allow it.
Exactly. The irony is if there was 4 teams genuinely challenging for the title our game would get stronger and more money would come from sponsorship and TV money. The bigot bros don't seem to realise that the huge financial gulf between them and 3rd is actually holding them back and harming them.

I remember the charters that Kevin Thomas ran to Dnipro. He sent over 3 plane loads of Hibbies mostly hassle free but It wasn't cheap for a ticket.
Unlike Dnipro a game in Denmark is a lot more accessible although this place is a pain in the arse to get to. I could only see fans considering it as an absolute last resort bearing in mind that the price doesnt even include a night away.. I doubt it will get off the ground
I helped Kevin with that, take it from me, it was a lot of hassle.

We got delayed for hours over an argument about who was paying for the fuel. By the time we got on the flight we were fucking reeking.

I'm flying out on the 08:25 flight to Copenhagen on the Thursday morning. Jumping on the first available train up to Herning and staying over in the DGI Huset. 6am train back to Copenhagen on the Friday then the 12:15 flight to Newcastle then another train up the road. Flights and accommodation for £338. Couple hundred spending on top. A lot of money considering I'm only in the country just over 24hrs. Hopefully worth it.

When are we expecting ticket details for this game? Less than a month to go and it certainly seems like more have booked up than there will be tickets available.

Surprised we've not heard anything from Hibs yet, less that 4 weeks until the game. I know theres still time but it would be good to know how many we are getting.

We will get a minimum of 500 per UEFA rules. Club probably trying to get more but that's up to the Danes and they'll be ones to dictate price and sale date.
I reckon we will only get what that away end holds, 850 or whatever it is. They seem like a pretty well supported side.

Some hotel that was in Dnipro……… weirdest bar ever.
Never forgot breakfast too………gelatine veg with a dry egg! 10 of us in one room! We booked a few rooms but not sure what happened. Irvine Welsh getting carried into the hotel at one point was interesting. Also I ended up on STV and predicted a Riordan goal! Missed the 5 that Dnipro would score. Amazing people and adventure and a half……..Ā£1 bottles of champagne on the train back to Kiev was a highlight.

We went upmarket and I somehow managed to book two apartments for ten of us. Can't really mind much but it felt like we're were staying in Easterhouse with furnishings that were a 70s hippy's dream.

Anyhow after 36 hours travel we were smelling like gunts by the time we got there. The barry news was that we had showers to fall into. The bad news was that they were installing a district heating system at the time. There was more rain in the Gobi desert than water coming out of the shower heads.

Got there smelling like gunts, got hame smelling like huns. Smashing trip.

Picked up online....

Away fans are housed within the south-west corner of the stadium which is accessible from entrance/indgang 1. It is marked on the above seating plan as ā€œUdeholdā€ which literally translates as ā€œaway teamā€.

For European matches don’t expect the away allocation to be particularly generous as FC Midtylland are currently having a purple patch. Based on UEFA’s 5% rule the away allocation is likely to be a fraction under 600 tickets but this is just a guess and by no means official.

I was late to book as was on the other side of the world when the draw was made. Me and my mate are staying the Wednesday in Copenhagen and Thursday in Herning.

Booked this for Herning, anyone saying here, I guess Hibs fans are as it is fully booked, much like most places there.

If not, where are you staying?

Me +1 in there šŸ‘Œ

If that was to be the case then it there wouldn't even be enough for Hibs First members by the time the sponsors, players and staff get theirs.

Also, if Hibs decided to do what the SFA do for Scotland fans and make a random number of people collect tickets over there then that would cause chaos because we all know that not all HF members who are buying a ticket for this are going to the game and are only sorting 'pals' out, much like Aberdeen last season.

Got rooms booked in the scandic Regina and DGI husit, all provisional, not sure I’ll go if don’t get a match ticket

HIbs First is capped at 500 according to Hibs official site ( and sold out) and only given 'priority' for European ties. Doesn't say guaranteed ticket. Those thinking they will get a ticket automatically to hand on to their mates might be in for a shock.

I’ll always remember the bar/terrace we happened upon at 9 in the morning as we spilled off the train arriving from Kiev.
Was outside an art gallery or museum or something.
Wee lassie behind the bar didn’t know what hit her and i ended up with her behind there pulling pints and grabbing bottles out the fridge for all the hibees while she just ran the till as she didn’t have a clue what anyone was saying.

Now Kiev had been cheap but Dnipro was CHEAP!!! So when she finished totaling up all the beers for what must have been about 20-30 of us, some I knew well, some I knew less well. I glanced over, did the conversion in my head and magnanimously announced to everyone ā€œit’s alright, it’s my round!!!!ā€
I think a few of them thought I was some rich bastard til they realised what things cost down that way. It was about a tenner 🤣

It was capped at 500 so that every member would be 'guaranteed' a ticket for every away game should they choose to go to them. Thats fine for Scotland as theres no ground with an away section of less than 500.

Europe is trickier though. We were lucky Luzern gave us more tickets but this ground seems to be smaller. All HF should get tickets if they want them but it could be a scramble if we only get 600 because players, staff and sponsors need theirs too.

I'm expecting us to hear about tickets this coming week as that will be 4 weeks until the game, everything else is confirmed except ticketing details.
