Must be santa

Bob Dylan - Must Be Santa (Official Video)

And

War is over

Happy Xmas (War Is Over)

I’d happily execute anyone who covers war is over into one of those slowed down softly sung with minimal backing efforts. Truly horrendous.

Xmas songs generally do my tits in.
I’ve never heard the first two of your selection before.
Lennon is obviously a classic, and I don’t even mind the cover.
Other than Fairytale of New York I can’t say I have a favourite, just ones that aren’t quite as annoying.

I did love that one as a kid. Shame it wasn't written by someone else.

Considering how many of the standards were written by TOTP friendly acts in the 70s it's a miracle that's the only one that's had to get blacklisted.

It's actually a great Christmas track, somebody should probably do a really good cover version of it then the GG version could be deleted. Glitter probably still receive the royalties off it though. Also reminds me of Christmas's as a bairn.

Apparently he doesn't get royalties from his music anymore. He was bought out on the cheap after his naughtiness. I believe that's why they used Rock n Roll part 2 in the Joker film and its still pretty popular at American sporting events.

Sacrilege
I love it.

It's so like them but just off enough to be funny. Best kind of spoof.

My missus was listening to a Spotify playlist of Christmas tunes I'd made with this on in her car the other day and she came in asking about "that stupid Proclaimers Christmas song". "I normally like them too, but that's just daft."

A tell yeh , if a hear anither christmas song

Didn't know until now that DMC is supposed to stand for Dolorean Motor Company.
