Everton

I like Everton a lot but I backed them to go down the day before yesterday. They've got a pretty nasty run of games coming up.
They probably need to beat Wolves on Sunday or relegation may be inevitable. Could be in the drop zone by then depending on results.

Looking like 1 from Everton Leeds or Burnley going down I'd say Leeds will probably save Everton.

I agree, I don't think they're necessarily more likely than Leeds or Burnley to go down but that's why they're 3-1 and the others are 6-5ish.

Leeds are about to play Norwich, Wolves, Soton, Watford, Chelsea and Palace whereas Everton have Wolves, Newcastle, West Ham, then Man Utd. After that they've got Liverpool and Chelsea.

Burnley have got Man City and West Ham coming up but they've also got Norwich, Watford and Brentford amongst their next five games,.

Of countless numbers of times being pissed off with fitba that I've watched over the years . I can say hand on Gunt, that the last few months with Hibs and Toffees trying there best to top those times off has been grim to say the least.

Hibs for the Cup!

BIG G

I hear ye brother.

Can’t really understand you guys that have more than one team.
I’m a one team guy, and frankly that’s quite fuckin enough without getting pissed off with another one.
Some teams actually do quite well though - which I know is quite hard to believe when one spends most of one’s football energy on hibs :)

1875 is, I believe, a Barca fan too so he’ll have had more than a few highlights over the last 15 years. Might even have made up a bit for some of our worst disasters.

The problem comes when things go wrong for both teams at the same time and then you’ve got double pain.

Yes, I get that. The more ‘big teams’ you support the more celebrations.
I just couldn’t give a fuck about any other team in any other league.
I occasionally ‘support’ a team based on my dislike of another. Whoever is playing Chelsea currently.
I don’t criticise fans of a couple of teams (or more) it’s just completely alien to me.
Just Hibs for me.

I'm the same. I don't even watch football unless a) it's Hibs or b) I've had a bet on the game. Even then it's switched off when/if bet comes in. For example Watford v Arsenal recently BTTS. Switched off after 12 minutes as my bet came in, couldn't care less about the rest of the game.

Same here. Not including international matches I think I’ve watched about two games on tv not involving hibs in about five years.

It’s fucking misery just now. Hibs are my club, Everton my bit of rough and Barca the high class lady I have neglected for a while now.

Hibs & Peterhead.
It was easy while PD was in the HFL.
Never thought they would be anything other than HFL, but they applied to join the big boys and have since become a dreaded yo yo club.

Can't be arsed with the EPL and the hideous amounts of money spent by all the teams in it , holds zero interest for me
Same, find it dull and full of grubby people who only care about money.

I also find football as a game more formulaic than I used to, and frankly a bit more boring unless hibs are involved. Not sure if the game has changed, or I have, or both.

All you guys who support the namby pamby EPL teams know nothing of 'other' team frustrations. I follow West Brom, now that's real misery.

Ps I hope the Toffees stay up, even with FL in charge.

Try being a Rochdale fan

Recently re-subscribed to Sky Sports after many years.
Enjoy watching great players wherever they play.
No affiliation to any English team....although I liked Liverpool when I was a bairn. I like Everton as well though.
I look out for Bradford's results as it's near to where my brother lives, and I have seen quite a few games at Valley Parade over the years.

Supported Newcastle from when they were managed by Ardiles in the old second division (pre-EPL). My Dad used to take me and my brother down for a game at least once a season, and this continued into adulthood. Not been down for a few seasons though.

It has been a very similar experience to following Hibs (both 2 x relegations) however at least we’ve picked up silverware on 3 occasions!

Used to follow Liverpool and had an interest in Real Madrid after winning tickets to the champs league final at Hampden.

But since Covid I've pretty much given up on all things football except Hibs and I've managed to get back into the Scottish national team.

Probably the only Liverpool follower who wasn't actually interested when they won the league.

I have family in Ipswich, so seen them a couple of times when I was younger. I couldnt give a fuck about them nowadays!

I took an interest in Newcastle when Big John McNamee moved down there after being hounded out of Scotland by referees. I've been to see a few of their games over the years but that all changed when the Geordie bastards stole my Golf GTi and wrecked it.

That was a calamitous result yesterday for Everton....losing 1-0 at home to Wolves.
Looking at their fixtures coming up, they are going to have to go some to get anything from them.

The possible saving grace is they have games in hand but they look relegated already via body language.

Looking like relegation candidates now. Head to head fixtures with Burnley and the Toffees have got the much harder run in. Appointing Lampard was almost as bad as Maloney.... :lookaround:
