It's not unveiled until tomorrow so I dunno :dunno:
The 2 teaser pictures have been on a white material, and a yellow material....

Hope it's no that.

Yep. I loved the early 90`s because of the terrific music but the drug-induced psychodelia of the period has a lot to answer for in the clothing stakes..... :033:

I think that Scotland strip is alright, but I also liked that white with blue/yellow stripes from the 90's?

Noticed 'Scotzine' posted this on Twitter. It would appear that this is indeed the new away jersey.....

It`s not for me i`m afraid...

Dont know if there is anything in it but Norwegian media reporting the Germany may boycott the euros because UEFA have opened the tournament up for more teams(from 16 -24 teams). The germans think the tourney will be devalued with the inclusion of Gibraltar etc in the playoffs.Have a link but its in norwegian..sorry

If that`s the case it doesn`t surprise me. There`s already been rumblings from England about the competition being 'de-valued'. The 'big' nations are all practically handed a bye into the finals anyway because of the seeding system. They would prefer it to become another farce like the Champions League where the bulk of the cash circulates between themselves, i mean why should any nation other than them be allowed to compete? Sheer arrogance.

I like what UEFA have done here. It opens the championship finals up to smaller nations who may otherwise never have had the chance to experience them and in my opinion, if nations/principalities or whatever are given recognition as being autonomous states, then there is no reason at all to bar them from entering a qualifying tournament.

Well fuck Germany and fuck any other country that feels it shouldn't play against any 'lesser' nations.

If they don't want to play, then they won't win, fuck em all :pf:

Hopefully not because that is nasty. Don't see why we'd opt for white, red and yellow?

I can SAFELY state, THAT shirt is the worst iv ever seen . ( that includes the"joby brown" Coventry away shirt ). And that's saying something!!!!

Shudder....!!!!

quite liked the yellow white and blue stripey one...wore that over at Italia 90.

the red one isn't a Scotland shirt, might have been for a Scottish League select game or similar iirc

Why is the red so bright!?
Don't we use a deep red? It would probably be fine without the yellow... Pointless

You`re correct of course. It was something that came out for Italia 90 i think, just a shirt for fashionistas... :lookaround:

Eurgh

Released early because of the leak no doubt.

I'm sure it's the Scottish League shirt worn when they played Scotland in the league's centenary match. The Dons Hans Gilhaus scored the winner IIRC :hmmm

Edit: Nope it's not. It is the League centennial top but seemingly it wasn't worn. Hans in red must have confuddled me. What colour was the tops then? I need to know now, it will annoy me all night. Grrrr Was it white? Fuxake Beef you watched it!...think man...THINK!!! :pullhair:

Edit again: Found it! Twas light blue. Sheesh!

Excerpts from Historical Kits article -

"In 1881 the team turned out in the primrose yellow and rose pink racing colours of Archibald Primrose, the 5th Earl of Rosebery, an important Scottish Liberal peer and devotee of the turf who became one of the Scottish FA's early patrons. The following year the team played in blue and white hoops before navy tops were restored in 1883, when the British Home Championship was inaugurated.

In 1900 Earl Rosebery's distinctive colours were reinstated but the lion rampant badge was replaced (at least for the match with England) with a crest depicting the Scottish thistle versus the English rose. Navy blue and white was reinstated between 1901 and 1904 (change shirts being worn when playing Ireland in Belfast) and then the Scottish team played in yellow and pink until 1909. Rosebery's colours were then retired until after the Second World War.

Lord Rosebery's colours made their final appearance in 1951 when Scotland beat France 1-0 at Hampden Park."

With such a vibrant kit its lucky for Scotland they diditn get Russia in the draw.

I think they're awful kits, but from what I've read online, they seem to be popular with younger fans and people that play regular football.
So perhaps the kits have done their job, by attracting the parts of the support more likely to buy football kits whilst alienating just about everyone else? :giggle:

I don't remember the last Scotland kit I liked, so I'm hardly surprised.
At least this away kit has some form of reasoning behind it.

I eagerly anticipate a friendly with Russia.
