2nd hat trick in 2 games, he's scored 9 in 5 now and still most of the 2nd half of this one to play, the guy is a machine. Only 22 as well, mental
I agree with the Zlatan comparison now you mention it, aye looking forward to seeing what he can do in the next few yearsI remember reading loads of comments elsewhere about how he wouldn't be able to do it in England.
Anyone who's seen him play knows what he is. Sky's the limit for him, such a physical powerhouse, with speed and some skill. He knows he's good too, I quite enjoy how full of himself he is. Zlatan-esque.
Think he's had a couple of leg injuries though, not sure of specifics, dunno if they'll be a theme for him.
To be fair, he could be injured 3/4 of the season and still finish top scorer at this rate!I remember reading loads of comments elsewhere about how he wouldn't be able to do it in England.

Archibald English? How many English strikers do it abroad? Lineker… and I’ll give you Archibald… any others?
None in the modern era really, Owen went to Madrid and wasn’t great. Tammy Abraham at Roma is the only one I can think of recently. How many English strikers do it abroad? Lineker… and I’ll give you Archibald… any others?
Mark HatelyHow many English strikers do it abroad? Lineker… and I’ll give you Archibald… any others?
Hoddle and Waddle.Mark Hately
Kevin Keegan, Tony Woodcock. How many English strikers do it abroad? Lineker… and I’ll give you Archibald… any others?
Yep. Keegan was European Player of the Year when at Hamburg.Kevin Keegan, Tony Woodcock.
An absolute machine. And he's just going to get betterBest striker in the world just now in my opinion.
Not as good as the CWU.Best striker in the world just now in my opinion.
Hypothetical I know, but I reckon Shearer would have been a success anywhereHow many English strikers do it abroad? Lineker… and I’ll give you Archibald… any others?
So a chance we might get him b4 the window closes then?Think he's had a couple of leg injuries though, not sure of specifics, dunno if they'll be a theme for him.

Not good for your auras, y'hear, all that spunked negativity![]()
Alan McInally did not bad at Bayern Munich. Eric Black was pretty successful at Metz. And yeah, forgot about av few of these.. any DenisLaw andother Scottish strikers? Apart from Law and Baker.. although Baker was “technically english![]()
On the Baker front, I’m sure he broke his leg while at torino then got a good name at Arsenal i believeAlan McInally did not bad at Bayern Munich. Eric Black was pretty successful at Metz.
Denis Law and Joe Baker were fairly short-lived at Torino with 27 (10 goals) games and 19 (7 goals) games respectively. Against extremely defensive cattenaccio systems and normally double-marked that was a pretty decent scoring rate. Denis attributed his heavy scoring back in Manchester to the unnacustomed freedom he now had on the pitch. Joe scored prolifically at both Arsenal and Forest. Jimmy Greaves also played around 10 games for AC Milan, scoring almost a goal a game before promptly heading homewards.
Welshman, John Charles was probably the most successful and enduring of them all with 155 appearances and 108 goals over five seasons with Juventus.
John charles from Leeds? He was the first “british” player to go to Italy.. With Baker and Law not far behind himAlan McInally did not bad at Bayern Munich. Eric Black was pretty successful at Metz.

Yes, Leeds were his first club. According to older relatives who saw him he was an immense player, could play centre back too.John charles from Leeds? He was the first “british” player to go to Italy.. With Baker and Law not far behind him
No tsure he broke his leg but he was involved in a serious car accident with Denis as his passenger when Joe crashed his Alfa Romeo into a city monument. He needed surgery and was on a drip for a month. At Arsenal he was top scorer for the four seasons he was there. Joe sustained a nasty injury at Forest in a cup game against Everton and was never quite the same player again, sadly. Forest had lost just once in 28 games with him and were challenging for a league and cup double. It all fell to pieces when Joe was sidelined for the rest of the season. On the Baker front, I’m sure he broke his leg while at torino then got a good name at Arsenal i believe![]()
