It’s been obvious to everyone bar the narcissistic English footballIndeed. No sympathy. Hopefully citeh get hammered and there is some sort of lessening of the spending. Its not sustainable long term.

top gigs are even more hideously pricedIndeed. I went to everton v spurs a few years back.£39 a ticket. Now its 4 to 5 times that. Was at everton for the scotland game. Just over £40. The cost is out of hand now. Even games at the likes of forest are astronomical. Can see 4 or five good gigs for the price of one epl game even before getting there and the extortionate price of food and drinks are added. No thanks.
Back in the early 70s - when there was so much less fitba on the telly - I could almost name the first eleven players of most English First Division sides - nowadays it’s just a merry-go-round of overpaid, over-privileged and over-rated mercenaries. I don’t think I’ve watched an EPL game in over a year. Soulless.I cant be arsed watching the EPL. Tourist foorball tho I do feel sorry for older guys who watched before there was all that ridiculous money
Lots of football games are cheaper too thoughPaid £43 to see the beat and the selecter at barrowlands. Just the hydro and murrayfield ridiculous prices.
I think its the same all over in the top Leagues of Europe and beyond. Just to different, relative degrees of pishness. Its not an English thing, though its been turbo charged by SKY/EPL these last 40 odd yearsBack in the early 70s - when there was so much less fitba on the telly - I could almost name the first eleven players of most English First Division sides - nowadays it’s just a merry-go-round of overpaid, over-privileged and over-rated mercenaries.
