Duncans

I know this clip has been knocking about for a wee while but I'd be interested in the views of the Bounce massive on the suitability of the moniker "Duncans" to describe our pink chums. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of the term gunts but I don't think they're really aware of it which rather spoils the impact.

Can we start calling them Duncans? Or is that too twee? And would it offend the good Hibbys named Duncan?

No no no.... the expression, not the creatures.

Duncan’s is quite topical - Hearts Bastards pretty timeless. Yams has never really floated my boat.

Gunts, yams, hertz badtards. I tend not to give them the satisfaction of calling them anything. A wee bit different online.

Come to think about it there is someone I know who fits the bill. I might start calling him Duncan. See how many months it takes him to catch on!

Thank you. I didn't know that. I thought the word stood for "Gorgie c@nt" and so please accept my apology for being totally unaware. (Not for the first time, and it probably won't be the last.) My own preference is "Jamboes". I just like the word because it conjures up the sorts of connotations like "Jammy bast@rds" and "Jammy dodgers" (a particularly apt reference to this team).

You’re correct - it’s a Spoonerism. Corgi Gunts.

True. Make it official Bounce policy. Change the settings so that any time someone on here refers to them as yams or duncans it changes it to gunts.
