Get Dabrowski in till end of season.

Then he can have a proper mentor to learn and take over from.

I think that may be the plan.
Doubt that Dabrowski and Macey will both be here if Marshall rocks up.
 
Wouldn't be unhappy with this but is it not a bit odd? Should we not be letting the new manager have a say in new players?
 
Marshall is ok. He's not any more than that. I think his penalty save against Slovakia has gained him a far bigger reputation that his ability probably deserves. He's had more than a few very dodgy matches down in the Championship in the past couple of seasons before this one, in which he hasn't even played.
On the other hand, he's better than Macey so fair enough.

Good signing IMO. I imagine one of either Macey or Dabrowski will go, reckon Mitchell will stay as the third choice.

I cant see Macey staying to go back to a number 2
I'm not sure Kev will want to stick around either, there must be offers for him to wear the gloves somewhere? He seems quite eager to play.

I'm all for Marshall though, an experienced keeper who's played and came good in massive games.

But someone we expect to be first choice makes a bit more sense

Just doing what Hearts and Hunco have done
Scottish International standard keeper in the late stages.

Given both of them success. So why not us feels like the motivation

If what I heard is true the deal was done in January. To me the only reason that would be kept quiet is if there was a worry it would affect the transfer fee we'd get for Macey. I reckon Macey will be away for a few quid, Dabrowski will become the young padawan to Marshall with a view to transitioning to first team over the next couple of years and Mitchell will stay as third choice. Over time Dabrowski will be first choice and we'll bring someone else (Murray Johnson?) through the development setup as second choice with hopefully Marshall as coach / backup.

There’s possibly a World Cup coming up and if Marsh wants to be there he’ll need to be number one as high a level as possible.

That could well be hibs.

Strange that it’s concluded when we are managerless. Unless it was really concluded months ago.

I can remember us being linked in January and did wonder if this was done back then.

The rest of the plan sounds good though.

No mate. He wasn’t playing which is why Craig Gordon took the gloves. He was clubless until January when QPR signed him and his intention was to get playing first team football again to get back into the Scotland squad. He would absolutely be coming here as first choice keeper and anyone doubting whether they want him needs their head checked too! Look at how McGregor and Gordon are playing at Rangers and Hearts. Marshall was keeping Gordon out the Scotland team until last year when he stopped playing.
