Good wee warm up game for the Conference League qualifiers.

I’m sure Ross Laidlaw had a howler in the first minute in the game at Easter Road then eventually we scored but it was ruled offside. Lenny went beserk and got sent off.

I know.
It was an amazing day and a great, historic, and long overdue win, but we haven't half milked it ever since.
I wonder if ICT commemorated their 10 year anniversary Scottish Cup win last year ?
Ken man it's probably why we only win a trophy roughly every 15 years haha only 5 to go until the next one mate

We average 3 losing finals in between every cup win so we're technically due another cup final loss before the next win I'm afraid!
Correct.
We must be the worst cup final team in Scotland.
That said, by far the most difficult match to win in any cup run is the final itself, and our record clearly shows that.
Played in the neutral national stadium with all eyes upon you and the pressure that you are 90 minites + away from a trophy and making history, this has proved too much for Hibs on so many occasions.
You need first class preparation (John Collins in 2007 and Alan Stubbs in 2016) and definitely big occasion players to play above themselves (eg. Pat Stanton in 1972 and Stokesy in 2016) if you are going to have a chance of winning.

Neutral Stadium
Always annoys me that how can it be Neutral when 2 teams have there own ends

*Edit - I didn't go back to the 1800s, which would have brought in Queen's Park & Dumbarton, amongst others.
I think I'm OK on historical stats, but I've not previously seen a list like that. It surprises me, though if you'd asked me how many finals we've lost I'd have been close to spot on. I'm just surprised almost everyone else has a higher strike rate.
What really grates is that 3 of the 5 clubs with only one cup beat us in the final. The Sheep & Motherwell had never won either cup until they encountered us at Hampden🙄. We've played 5 finals v. clubs who'd never had a dinner and lost the lot😖. At least Clyde & St.Johnstone had won silverware before we "gifted" them finals. (I believe "gifted" is the technical term in several parts of Edinburgh that I'm unfamiliar with😆)
At least Pars losing last month lifted us off the bottom of the table.
